Pleased today to hold talks with UN and European counterparts on our efforts to ensure the renewal of the @UNIFIL mandate in Lebanon. Ireland’s peacekeeping role in this volatile region dates back to 1958.

Mass starvation is stalking Gaza and children are starving before our eyes. We need an immediate and permanent ceasefire now. Israel must lift its blockade on aid and Hamas must release the hostages. The genocide must stop.

I was pleased to meet today with new US Ambassador Ed Walsh & to underline our strong support for EU efforts to reach a mutually beneficial agreement on trade & tariffs with the US. We also discussed Northern Ireland, the Middle East, Ukraine & immigration issues.
