Tánaiste (Deputy Prime Minister of Ireland), Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Minister for Defence. Leader of @finegael & Wicklow TD.
We want a mutually beneficially trade deal with the US, But the EU must also prepare for all eventualities. My statement:

Mass starvation is stalking Gaza and children are starving before our eyes. We need an immediate and permanent ceasefire now. Israel must lift its blockade on aid and Hamas must release the hostages. The genocide must stop.

Our plan provides certainty for Ireland from now to 2035. It will deliver a step change in the way we deliver infrastructure in this country; providing the homes, childcare, schools, disability services, healthcare and jobs we need. Time to get on with the job.
Fine Gael wants to build a better Ireland. Today, we have announced a once-in-a-generation plan to transform our country.
It’s time to deliver better and faster infrastructure in Ireland, and under my leadership, Fine Gael is committed to making it happen. The Government is investing €200 billion to transform how we deliver new homes and the services that support them.
Today is a really important day for the future of our country. We are publishing a plan that will transform Ireland.
What an incredible game of hurling. Huge credit to an outstanding Tipperary side for a second half that will live long in the memory. Commiserations to Cork, a brave and battling performance. There’s truly nothing like an All-Ireland final.

Great atmosphere at the 75th Granard Agricultural Show today in Longford! Delighted to meet so many people. Big thanks to my @FineGael colleagues for joining me. Looking forward to many more agricultural shows this summer! 🇮🇪

I’ll be talking to @morningireland and @NTBreakfast after 8am about the economic landscape, the imposition of tariffs, and the decisions the Govt is making in your name to ensure we are protected as we work towards #Budget2026
As part of a great visit to Dublin I had an excellent discussion with #Tánaiste @SimonHarrisTD — we agreed that Ireland’s strong support for a rules-based, multilateral system is invaluable in a crisis-ridden world and remains a beacon of hope for all victims of war and violence.
Constructive engagement today with senior US-based pharma leaders. Our focus must be on a fair, negotiated solution before August 1 to protects jobs, the economy & innovation. My full statement: gov.ie/en/department-…

Delighted to welcome UN High Commissioner @Fillipo_Grandi to Ireland today. A good opportunity to discuss the impact of conflict in many parts of our troubled world and to reaffirm our support for the UN, multilateralism and the rule of law. 🇮🇪🤝🇺🇳
