We recently teamed up w/ @dcfireems for high-angle rescue drills at our St. Elizabeth’s Tank. Crews practiced rope rescues to remove people from hard-to-access spots like tanks, buildings, & construction zones. Training that protects lives—on the ground and above it. 💪 #DCWater

Today was the sweetest day of the year. 🐝🍯 We teamed up with Bloom for our annual honey harvest at Blue Plains. With help from DC Beekeepers Alliance, we’ve housed “orphaned” bees since 2015. Those hives now produce around 200 pounds of award-winning honey every year.
You remember 2012, and we remember why this work matters. Thanks for sharing, Ryan. In addition to improving river water quality, the Northeast Boundary Tunnel was built to help protect neighborhoods like Bloomingdale from flooding, and we're proud to see it in action. 💪💧
If this rain hit #BloomingdaleDC prior to the @dcwater #nebt project, our 100 block of Rhode Island Ave NW is under water & our basement has 3 inches of water & sewage. It was this time in July 2012 exactly that happened 3 times in 9 days. #grateful
