“If you give up, you die." -Nims Purja
Not dying and living forever is enticing for an individual. Now imagine a whole world in which people can be born but nobody ever dies.
What's your opinion on death?
If you are going to have delusional dreams, at least make them grand delusional dreams.
One logical conclusion is the current form of health insurance is no longer tenable. My understanding is privately run health insurance cos like those in the US long ago stopped being aggregator of risk and therefore ceased to function as true insurance providers anyway.
Something I've been thinking about: gene editing drugs (like Casgevy, Luxturna, Zolgensma) are a new paradigm in therapeutics, where it may be possible to cure many diseases with single administrations rather than managing them continuously via drugs that require ongoing use.…
Whoever is creating NYT “Connections” game should be audited. This is the last time I will have played this stupid game.

If you give moderately smart people with misguided ideas a lot of power, they are capable of bringing about some truly catastrophic outcomes.
Search function on iOS mail app is so thoroughly broken that it would be better if it didn’t exist at all.
I thought net neutrality was struck down? How is it that Xfinity website is so slow to the point of being unusable?
Apple Intelligence is very very far from anywhere near being here, judging from how broken Screen Time in iOS remains.
WTF how has changing the Home Screen wallpaper only without also changing the Lock Screen background on iOS become impossible?
How about when a user unsubscribes from your mailing list, instead of saying "sorry to see you go," say something like "congratulations! now you will have one less email cluttering your inbox!"
I would rather not see Trump win, but how refreshing it would have been if the Biden camp had simply said “congratulations to Mr. Vance, may the best candidates win.” I mean, what they say here is entirely inconsequential anyway.

My prediction is this will likely turn out not to be the case. There is just too much data outside of Apple’s ecosystem required to make truly useful personal context work, such as credit card transactions.
Personal context is something that Apple can do it best because they have all of the behavior around the device, and the have the actual device in your pocket.
We are living in a simulation and the matrix is about to reset because it is obviously broken.
If GameStop, $GME, hits $69, RoaringKitty, aka DeepFuckingValue, will be a billionaire.
Search on iOS mail app is so terrible, and it is something that 1) doesn’t require AI to fix and 2) I am sure whatever AI thing Apple comes up with in fact won’t fix.
