My enrollment was screwed up twice, unbeknown to me. Twice I have had to enroll on the day and cast a special vote. If this law was in place, I would not have been able to exercise my democratic right to vote.
A massive benefit of enrolling on the day is helping a lot of people who don’t realise they’re not enrolled until they walk into the school hall or community centre on election day. It happens a lot. We should do everything we can to ensure everyone who wants to vote can vote!
How many National supporters can be proud of this bunch that bend to every minor party want? They must feel like their party has completely lost it's way. Any National supporters have an opinion here?
If you're wanting to help out with getting people registered to vote, consider jumping on board with Tania Waikato who is getting ready to activate a team to do just that. instagram.com/reel/DMhjKLSRg…
How proud would you be if this were our flag and the name of our country?
OMFG @NZNationalParty are desperate. Did "LABOUR" also "CAUSE" inflation ALL OVER THE F'N WORLD!? IT WAS CALLED A F*ING PANDEMIC and AN OIL CRISIS You insufferable F'TARDS. Now you lying losers are trying to rig the election with your new voting laws. Transparent #MAGATs. #nzpol
The cost of living is tough for many Kiwis right now. Labour drove up inflation to 7.3% and made life harder for Kiwi families. Inflation is now down to 2.7%. National is growing the economy to create jobs, lift wages, and keep prices down - so Kiwis can get ahead and stay…
Packing my bag today, off to Palmerston North tomorrow for 20 rounds of radiotherapy, pity our hospitals' funding was cut so they could not provide that treatment @chrisluxonmp thanks for nothing
'Perhaps what’s most frightening is seeing the theme at play - libertarian, Atlas Network ideology emulating the latter UK Tory Party and the current alt-right USA Republicans" ws.bluemail.info/ws/0o1a0I5pzq
Ok. Yes people should be enrolled. Yes it’s our civic duty to do so. Yes it helps the voting process run smoother. But people should not lose their democratic right to vote because they didn’t meet the timeframe to get their admin done. /
So far I have not seen a single compelling reason to prevent same day enrolments for voting. Democracy should have as few barriers to engagement as possible. Why does the Govt want to discourage voting?!
What are we without culture and history? Ignorant, narrow-minded drones doomed to repeat the past.
4 of the 5 senior historian roles at Ministry for Culture & History are being cut. This cannot fail to have a significant impact on its responsibility to research #NZ history & maintain & update critical online platforms like Te Ara. @ManatuTaonga rnz.co.nz/news/political…
People saying Te Reo Maori was confusing on passports probably haven't travelled much -
“I’m voting to get rid of Māori wards”. ACT gang MP, look at him , just look at how defective he is. Fkn arsewipe 🐷💩
We don’t want the words changed around on passports we want everyone to be able to afford rent and groceries for fuck sake

Voter suppression acts like those of National MPs should leave them shunned from society and barracked at in the streets and in cafes. If you want to block people from voting, then you should be blocked from other aspects of society.
kudos to tans and our other wahine people leaders for the kotahitanga.."we rise, by lifting other" this article also repts that 40% of the 44k registered to vote in the tamaki makaurau bi election, are rangatahi..love that for us💚🖤🤍❤️
The graduate nurses were going to have $22,000 of their fees paid for by Luxon's govt and they were promised employment. Luxon was elected but didn't deliver any of it.
What I'd just say to you is, if the media aren't interested in dredging back up all the lies I told before the election why the fricken heck are you? #LyinLuxon #PuppetPM #CoalitionofCunts #NZpol
Every day is a disaster in Aotearoa as this Coalition of Cabbages put their stink all over the place. We are an embarrassment on the world stage as these fkn clowns make us more like America all thanks to Seymour...the man with all the power bc Luxon is lazy chicken shit...
High need? Like Māori and Pasifika communities? Oh, wait, we are not allowed to mention 'high need' if there is race involved. I forgot. Let them 'dropkicks' die 8 years earlier than others eh?
If you’ve tried to book a GP and been told to wait weeks, especially in a rural town, you’re not alone. Today I’m sharing the next steps we’re taking to improve access to GPs across New Zealand, with a strong focus on rural and high-needs communities. 🧵
