And of course, we have #microscopes. The #zooplankton team use them to separate specific species to then measure their respiration rates or egg profuction. @BenGOcean and myself sneak in when free to pick up pteropods or take pictures of the beautiful creatures.

I'm using #PlanktoScope to image samples collected from the #MarineSnowCatcher. Extra samples will be analysed with the #FlowCam back in @nocnews lab.

@BenGOcean from @HeriotWattUni runs the #FlowCam to determine the community composition in the water collected from the CTDs and dilution experiments. He feels he has a TV, as all of us keep asking him what's in the water today?

Will @nocnews deploys holographic cameras up to 600m to get multiple 2D images to then create their 3D version!
