WaPo sports legend.
Well. Tomorrow is my last day at The Washington Post. It’s been a total thrill.
Incomprehensible
.@ronaldacunajr24 with a perfect throw! 🥶 #BravesCountry
Orioles can’t plan around Rodriguez in the rotation for 2026. Cross their fingers and hope he’s healthy? Yes. Count on him as part of roster construction? No.
Grayson Rodriguez shut down again. Same elbow soreness as in spring training #orioles

In a very D.C. way to unveil this info, Nationals No. 1 pick Eli Willits just told @wolfblitzer on CNN that he will sign his contract tomorrow and head to Florida on Sunday. cnn.com/2025/07/18/Tv/…
A notably firm assessment of the Lerners’ situation from a soon-to-be Hall of Famer. washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/07…
From Boz: If the Lerners won’t run the Nationals properly, it’s time to sell washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/07…
The Big Dumper jokes write themselves. But after a prolific first half and crazy All-Star Break, Cal Raleigh is on the verge of writing some serious baseball history. washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/07…
And you people were worried about the swing-off being used in the regular season
The Dodgers say a robot from Pasadena's Jet Propulsion Laboratory will throw out the first pitch on Wednesday.
The National League won the game. MLB won the night. washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/07…
What a great idea that guy had
Look what we have here @redturn2 🤣
Pete Alonso being left on deck in a winner-take-all Home Run Derby scenario that somehow found him the one year he said the Derby didn’t call to him is basically the equivalent of Ron getting to Voldemort first and leaving Harry standing there with his wand. Like, the plot broke.
National League wins the game, MLB wins the night. Between ABS intrigue, mic’d up moments, and the swing-off, that was downright interesting. And that has not always been true of these games in recent years.
Braves fans are pulling for a Phillie (Schwarber) and Met (Alonso) here. Kinda reminds me of the end of Rocky IV.
Kyle Stowers in the ASG swing off after the way things went last year post-trade… things can change so fast in this sport.
First ABS challenge: Cal Raleigh on behalf of Tarik Skubal to strikeout Manny Machado, who was also involved in the first ever pitch-clock related ejection.
The National League All Stars just fled the field because it started raining.
Nats in Atlanta: MacKenzie Gore expects to pitch in the All-Star Game tonight and was told he will get the fifth.
The Home Run Derby was a blast. The All-Star Game should be fun. Unfortunately, labor strife looms over it all. On MLB front offices preparing for a work stoppage that's a year-and-a-half out. Ugh. washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/07…
