Important discussions last week with IL and DPOs on the social model and how educating decision-makers on it can lead to change. Thought-provoking comments as well about DPOs needing to be assertive and say ‘no’ to work that is not aligned with the model. #poweruptogether

I just spoke in Parliament. My message was clear: This Bill still makes £2 BILLION cuts to disability support 750,000 people will lose £3000 a year. Including people who can’t use their hands, need help to eat or drink and have debilitating incontinence. I'll vote against it.
Today, MPs are asked to vote to remove £3k a year from ¾ million disabled people. The majority of these people already live in material deprivation. I will vote against these £2bn cuts from disabled people. #WelfareBill #WelfareReformBill
#BinUCBill We need your MP to ❌Vote No To Cuts to Universal Credit Please tell your MP Vote ❌No to Cuts
Today, MPs will again vote on the disability benefits Bill. I will be voting against any cuts to disability support. We should not be balancing the books on the backs of sick and disabled people. Let's introduce a wealth tax on the super-rich instead.
A week after the welfare reform vote, CDA Trustee Priscilla reflects on why it was so important to protest. @InclusionLondon @InclusionBarnet @DisRightsUK @DisabilityActHa @johnpringdns @OnOurRadar @guardian camdendisabledvoices.org/why-i-proteste…
#BinUCBill @Shrink_at_Large has made a video on concerns about the severe conditions criteria. Please have a watch and ask your. mp to support the amendment from @RichardBurgon
SEVERE CONDITION CRITERIA The Green Paper is diminished, but please lobby against the ‘severe condition criteria’—a hugely dangerous and discriminatory change to UC health rules that would drastically increase new claimants’ financial and psychological precarity. #TakingThePIP
Last week they came for PIP & Universal Credit. This week it’s EHCPs that provide vital support for D/deaf & disabled children. From welfare to education, this government is attacking our community from all sides. Is there any line they won’t cross? @InclusionLondon @InIslington…
Great interview from @ShaniDhanda explaining how inaccessible housing & transport prevent Disabled people from getting into work. Dis people living in accessible housing are 4 times more likely to be in employment- why is the Government not talking about this? @InclusionLondon
If we closed the disability employment gap even slightly, it would bring £50 billion back to the treasury. But this will never happen when everything you need to get into work is inaccessible, non-existent or broken. #TakingThePip #EndAbleism
The Government claims they are cutting benefits to 'encourage' Disabled people into work. Yet with a disability pay gap of 17%, a underfunded Access to Work programme and reasonable adjustments overwhelmingly ignored, it is employers, not us, who need the incentive. Us on @LBC
A hideous bill, made slightly less hideous by Disabled people - CDA's CEO speaks out on the bill passed on 1st July 2025. @DisRightsUK @Telegraph @trustforlondon @Keir_Starmer @johnpringdns @guardiannews @NewJournal

Camden Disability Action staff and members braved the heat and hostile counter protestors at Parliament Square yesterday to call on MPs to vote against the revised benefits changes. @InclusionLondon @InclusionBarnet @johnpringdns @trustforlondon

We urge MPs to vote no. If you vote yes, you are putting all your faith in an 'employment support machine' that has never proved effective and the jobs are simply not there #TakingThePIP @johnpringdns @RichardBurgon camdendisabilityaction.org.uk/neoliberalism-…
I'm not disabled. I don't claim for any benefits. I do however know that it could happen to anyone in an instant. These welfare cuts are inhumane. Shame on anyone who votes for. #DisabilityRights #TakingThePIP
I will be voting against the Disability Cuts Bill. Here's why: bit.ly/3GsYVPo
