Parent/Teacher/Neighbour. Politics/Education/Community. Opinions are my own.
"There has not been a single public education campaign about the airborne nature of COVID-19." If western Canadian governments want to shift to personal responsibility, its incumbent upon public health to equitably provide the appropriate data, tools, and education for citizens.
Farnworth tweeted out the most obvious bait video ever and the B.C. Conservatives are all jumping on it instead of realizing the NDP might be trying to draw attention away from the Vancouver Sun publishing new details about the Pollock case that demand follow-up questions be…
So who is? Schools are responsible for the safe operation of their buildings. Restaurant refrigerators are checked, health authorities know there is sometimes lack of compliance so why not schools?
And children can’t make indoor air quality complaints but the ministry of education should know this, instead the government refers you to @WorkSafeBC which is a dead end. Health authorities also respond that they don’t have the manpower to assess indoor air in classrooms.
On the calendar of the Minister of education was addressing absences in education. Maybe they can start tracking indoor air quality with loaner monitors to reduce absenteeism…@lisabeare and have these readings available to parents for transparency.
Guess that’s easier than making schools safe through #CleanAir Again Absenteeism is not the same as Absences.
School district says doctor’s notes will no longer excuse child absences « After just three absences, schools will start intervention. If the student misses school for eight or more days, they will be referred to juvenile court » This is insane 1011now.com/2025/07/23/sch…
It's called Refeeding Syndrome, and I've lost a few patients to it over the years (eating disorders, post gastric-bypass, etc). You need the the clinical capacity to carefully feed patients, monitor electrolytes, and give vitamins, and this barely exists now. So even if…
Even if tons of food goes in, a lot of people are still going to die. Once malnutrition and famine conditions set in, the body adapts to consuming its own muscles and fat. If you give carbs too quickly, insulin gets secreted, crazy electrolyte shifts happen, and hearts stop.
Theatre Sports: Roman Danylo, North Calgary Comedian vs Pierre Poilievre, South Calgary Anachronism x.com/roman_danylo/s…
Pierre Poilievre has been fighting for the values we espouse here in Battle River-Crowfoot his entire political career. He heard us before, he's hearing us now, and he will fight for us as he continues to lead the Conservative Party of Canada!
So, Sirrs decision to defund Brineura is based on a YET to be published UK study with the conclusion that NO NEW patients be given access to the drug. Her assertion that the BC child only got media attention because she is photogenic is gross. Good riddance to her resignation.
Four members of BC’s rare disease drug panel quit, not when a dying 10-year-old girl was cut off from treatment, but when that decision was reversed. That tells you everything. Bureaucrats devastated a family, then got offended when someone tried to fix it. Callous,…

2:50pm doctor on secret panel on Charleigh Pollock decision breaks silence, reveals personal thoughts on U.K. study that hasn’t been published yet?! Was that relied upon? Did they see early results? Did they guess?! 4:10pm NDP tweets out video about cuts to bridge funding for…
Standard motel room, two people. No windows that open. What are we supposed to do? Not exhale?
Video clips that illustrate the WHO strategy to try and stop an impending AIRBORNE pandemic without using the word AIRBORNE….. They wanted to use their same strategy that they had gotten away with against Ebola….. “…don’t go into speculations….use the strategy equipment or…
1/ Universities, schools and daycares are failing their students on #LongCOVID. It's time they step up, protect students, and reduce #COVID19 cases. The situation at Stanford is a harsh example. 🧵 #UniversitiesFailStudents #LongCOVIDAction
I also can’t forget everything I saw in the hospitals which are horrifying even aside from Covid, but a nightmare of what I can only call pro-infection practices. Cohorting patients with respiratory illness with non infected patients. Making “hot towels” for IV starts in a dirty…
BC healthcare, folks. Exposing my senior citizen mom, who’s hardcore Covid safe, to potential infection - when it’s completely preventable. Our family cannot deal with more illness, we are stretched to the max. WHY IS THIS ACCEPTABLE?? What is wrong with these doctors? Where are…
Today at St Paul’s for ENT appt. Not a mask in sight. Me in N99. Small exam rm. 2 residents, no masks, no hepa. Ask them to put on masks and say I’m surprised they aren’t wearing them as they are going to be close to my face. Shocked expressions, go get blues, as does doc. FAIL
