Many many calls coming through of foreign truck drivers currently in the USA wanting to know if they can come to Canada and convert their CDL to ours (sure, pay $8000 and sit in school for 2-3 months). But so far only inquiries. The ELP rocked the boat but didn't tip it ... Yet.
I wish some of this were true. Freight volumes are down + many American trucking companies have closed, while the insourced labor contingent remain dug in like a stubborn deer tick that won’t let go. It’s going to take more than the ELP order to fix the industry; a lot more.

Why so few truck parking spots and so many for cars? It's totally backwards. With HOS, along that route, truckers have few options. They're always being over looked and it's annoying.
