One time I went out w this actor/improv guy in LA who was the whitest person ive ever met in my life, from Milwaukee. Said “black pepper is too spicy.” That still haunts me. A year later I saw him in a NBA finals commercial for a car company tho so guess it worked out for him
When I was in Manchester earlier this week I ordered a Bloody Mary and the waitress was like “okay, how spicy do you want it on a range of 1 to 10” and I said 10 bc I know wtf I’m dealing with. Guys…the level 10 spice that was added was just extra Tabasco sauce 😭
I spent 2 years being suicidally depressed spending 14 hours a day in bed and “go for a walk” is really some of the best advice a depressed person can get lol. I used to cry being overwhelmed thinking abt cleaning my room. It’s not easy to Get Better but fatalism is harder
An unfortunate simplistic take without understanding of neurodiversity, on the level of telling a depressed person to go for a walk. Each ND has individual experience and different limits. We can't magic our wiring away with "trying harder". Masking leads to harmful burnouts.

People need to realize that unless u are severely (like non verbal) autistic, being “socially awkward” is something you can fix with practice. Social skills are like any skills: some people are born w natural ability, most people have to learn thru practice

I have a good friend who’s an ultra smart data science guy. Masters in statistics, great job, 6’2”. Maybe a touch socially awkward but a good dude. Legit cannot find a gf. Years of frustration on dating apps. Feel for him. These types of guys used to clean up with women.
