Immunotherapy a key to fight aging? We break down our recent study in this animation! 🧪 Immune checkpoint anti-PD-L1 can enhance the immune system to remove senescent cells & ameliorate age-related phenotypes! nature.com/articles/s4155…… @JuliaMMagdalena @KrizhanovskyLab…
Excited to share our new study revealing the intricate dynamics of pregnancy & postpartum physiology! We analyzed 40M lab tests from 300K pregnancies and 160K women (cross-sectional), we mapped week-by-week changes starting from preconception to months-long postpartum recovery.
The power of Longitudinal studies for comprehensive view of physiology and pathology. How pregnancy changes our body? Can systemic inflammaging precedes cancer diagnosis? Check out below.. science.org/doi/10.1126/sc… doi.org/10.1073/pnas.2… @UriAlonWeizmann @Mark M Davis
Last sunset before we kick off #SCG24! Truly excited to engage with the global single cell family. Wondering about what Harreman, Nativ and CytoVI mean? Come by our posters!
📑: @JuliaMMagdalena @amitmechaging et al fr/@KrizhanovskyLab show that p16-expressing senescent cells enhance the stability of the immune checkpoint PD-L1, by downregulating its proteasomal degradation to accumulate in ageing and chronic inflammation. nature.com/articles/s4155…
p16-dependent increase of PD-L1 stability regulates immunosurveillance of senescent cells nature.com/articles/s4155…
Immunotherapy as an anti-aging treatment? @KrizhanovskyLab we show that immune checkpoint anti-PD-L1 can enhance the immune system to remove senescent cells & ameliorate age-related phenotypes! @amitmechaging @UriAlonWeizmann @IdoAmitLab @WeizmannScience nature.com/articles/s4155…
Congrats @JuliaMMagdalena @amitmechaging . Thanks @UriAlonWeizmann for great collaboration.
In a new study published today in @NatureCellBio, researchers from Prof. @KrizhanovskyLab introduced the possibility of treating age-related diseases by immunotherapy – the same kind of therapy that is currently revolutionizing the treatment of cancer: harnessing the immune…

Congratulations @NRachmian for this elegant study on senescent microglia in Alzheimer's disease published at @NatureNeuro. Exciting collaboration with Michal Schwartz and the first study from our lab on the role of senescence in neurodegenerative diseases.
🎉 Excited to announce that my latest article has been published in Nature Neuroscience! 📚 Dive into the fascinating world of senescent microglia in Alzheimer's disease. Thanks to my wonderful PIs, @KrizhanovskyLab Valery Krizhanovsky & Michal Schwartz! 🙌
Judy will always be remembered as scientific giant who pioneered the senescence field. Her conceptually transformative work provided the basis of the tremendous progress from mechanisms to therapies. Judy will be dearly missed by all of us. Rest in peace.
I'm deeply saddened to share that we have lost a remarkable friend, a wonderful mentor and esteemed colleague, Judith Campisi. Judith's impact on those around her was profound and lasting. Her legacy will continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace, Judy. You will be greatly missed
Why do we get certain diseases whereas others do not exist? This new book builds a foundation for systems medicine. Starting from basic laws, it derives why hormone, immune and aging circuits are built the way the are, culminating in a periodic table of diseases.
