Future's gonna be okay
The difference is that it used to be those who wanted to be taken seriously at least tried to move past that. Why? Because someone with different beliefs than you is not per se the enemy and it is intellectually, psychologically, and spiritually immature to think so.
I don't have an opinion on this other than to say that if the Toyota Hilux is finally allowed into the US, I will laugh myself sick.
Okay. How the hell did he manage this one?
The best part of this is what South Park is inevitably going to do to Colbert in a future episode.
Paramount canceling Stephen Colbert but re-signing “South Park" for $1.5 billion shows a major vibe shift in comedy. For the first time since 2020, it pays to be funny again. outkick.com/analysis/steph…
In a round, tenors first. The Will To Power prizes are not optional.
Make fucking Steve Bannon a federal judge for all I care at this point. The judiciary has become a partisan cesspool and the GOP may as well dump their own shit into now if this is how it's going to work.
A 2020 paper showed that of 500 randomized controlled trials analyzed, half contained fake data and a quarter were purely fabricated ("zombie trials"). These are the "gold-standard" studies on which clinical guidelines are formulated. Medical science is infested by fraud.
It’s Starbuck. It was always Starbuck.

I want to know what led to this because I bet it is hilarious. And involves wildlife.
“Any activity…concerted physical effort…one or more persons…scoring/winning.” Dude just outlawed punching the clown and doesn’t realize it. ***Update*** As some pointed out in the FB comments, he just banned PT tests based on the definition provided.
Again, and always, what, specifically am I supposed to get off my ass and do about, say, judicial overreach? Release of documents held by the US government? Prosecutorial discretion and the abuse thereof? What, specifically, am I supposed to get off my ass and do?
To those on X screaming at Trump’s DOJ team to: “Do something!” Here’s my response: STFU. Crucial reforms have happened every day. For 6 months. More so than any time in our history. Get off your asses and do something yourselves. They are in the fight. Every day. You?
Here's a fun question (and it is a question since I have no clue how the code is written) - is the AI recognizing the papers as AI generated because the AI trained on it? Since LLMs are pattern match programs, is it pattern matching its own dbase and saying AI since match?
AI detectors are far less reliable than a coin flip. Dr. Ted Roberts fed his own papers into one from the 90s and they came back anywhere from 20-100% AI generated. Others have had similar results.
I had my co-teacher sit there and watch me type a short story- we submitted it through and it said AI mostly wrote it! We were like wtf

Nudge theory is the intersection of the managerial revolution and post-enlightenment materialism If there is no divine order and humans are nothing but matter it’s logical to conclude that managers can engineer society through the regular application of technique

Fair is fair. Here is the response to my criticism of this position. (Screencapped for convenience of reference)
I agree with every one of these "shoulds" and if I were the guy's boss, I would not have fired him. If my direct superior told me to fire him, I would carefully make the case that he should not be let go for things he said outside of a work context. At the same time, I would…
You mean one of the owners of the app. That seems like a fairly relevant fact.
DOJ staffer claims she was fired over husband’s controversial anti-ICE app that warns users when feds are nearby trib.al/wZ8alLB
(long tweet warning) Unless I am being paid to be a 24/7 spokeswoman for my employer, then what I say, even in public, does not reflect on my employer. Unless I have agreed, specifically, at the time of my employment, to terms which include the employer's right to control how…
If that guy had the exact same conversation at a dinner party and someone had surreptitiously recorded him, I'd say he shouldn't be fired. But he volunteered for that role and he played it stupidly.
I watched the entire 5:20 clip that is in the tweet being quoted. I repeat my simple, direct, straightforward question - how does anyone know where that man worked?
I'm with Trace on this one. You should not go out of your way to do things that make your employer embarrassed to have you on staff.
It is intensely frustrating to not be able to get answers to straight forward factual questions.
The part I like best is that when this gets overturned, the higher courts are the ones the Left will consider illegitimate.
"The district court in Massachusetts enjoined Congress from cutting funding for Planned Parenthood." The district court did fucking what? Pray tell when did a district court judge get the power of the purse?
