This is a deeply troubling judgment by the European Court of Human Rights The Court has extended its remit, created a new right and established new duties (1) Swiss government violated women’s human rights by climate change inaction, ECHR rules telegraph.co.uk/world-news/202…
What is the government plan to rescue the UK car industry as it hits a new 70 year low? Stopping all new petrol and diesel cars by 2030 is doing damage. People could import nearly new petrol cars instead to get round the ban.
Yet another call for even more borrowing. This year the government will borrow at least £140 billion, of which over £110 billion will go to interest payments on previous borrowing (which now totals almost £3 trillion). That’s right — 75% of what we’re borrowing will be used to…
Next budget is crucial. I hope this report and Lords’ Economic affairs committee one will persuade HMT that we need more investment .Markets will not be scared by dropping nonsensical rule that debt ratio must fall in year 5 irrespective of what happens in years 1-4.
In so many ways, a morality tale about Keir Starmer.
🚨 NEW: Keir Starmer has ruled out a Bank Holiday if the Lionesses win the Euros on Sunday
As the Mayor of London toured Africa, I was on the ground in East London with @AndrewBoff, hearing directly from a small business owner who says he feels abandoned by City Hall and Labour. Kay told me about the perfect storm facing local retailers: 👉🏻 Soaring retail crime 👉🏻…

Wait until Wes finds out what wild additional powers for trade unions he’s been voting for in Labour’s (Un)Employment Rights Bill. More strikes, less notice, lower thresholds!
Labour caved to the unions, and now they’re back for more. We told Wes Streeting this would happen, but he wasn’t listening. Now, we’re looking at a summer of strikes. @Conservatives are the only Party who would stand up to the unions.
Labour: “Just talk to the unions!” Also Labour: *Gives 28% pay rise* Unions: *Strike anyway* Result: Chaos. When Labour negotiates, Britain loses. Thanks a lot, Wes.

@Keir_Starmer why don’t you just get round the table and have a grown up conversation? 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Labour promised 1.5 million new homes. The truth? They’re miles off. The OBR says Labour will fail, like they always do. The last Conservative government delivered 2.5 million. And we’ll keep going. Homes where they’re needed, countryside protected, British families first.
This is a classic of its kind. If we don’t densify in London, everyone loses. 100% of no homes being social/affordable = no homes. 12% of many homes being social/affordable = some homes being social/affordable (plus all the wider benefits of releasing more stock).
I support building homes on the Aylesham site- but they must include the right amount of social and affordable housing. With 18,000 on Southwark’s housing waiting list and thousands of kids in temporary accommodation, Berkeley’s 12% offer simply isn’t good enough.
If you tell the market you'll pay regardless, this is what happens. Ed Miliband is the enemy of lower prices.
🚨BREAKING🚨 Maximum strike prices for Ed Miliband's missing wind auction are out. Gruesome. Offshore wind: £113/MWh Higher than last year. Highest in a decade. And that's before all the extra costs of grid, backup, and wasted wind. As a comparison, the average cost of…
Don’t let Starmer gaslight you. Labour have lost control , of everything, and you are paying the price. @Conservatives we help people get the homes they want in the places they need.
