One of the functions I like on the ZWO @Seestar_astro S50 is the integrated Atlas, giving direct opportunity to discovered objects around your main objectives of the night session. Here around M51, IC 4263, NGC 5169. #Space #Astronomy
M51, Whirlpool Galaxy, in Canes Venatici. Arms are star-formation factories, compressing hydrogen gas & creating clusters of new stars. Small galaxy NGC 5195 is passing behind M51 since hundreds of millions of yrs, moving away now from It🔭Img w/ZWO @Seestar_astro S50 on June29

Une question pour les Français et Européens qui s’opposeraient aux missions humaines (européennes et/ou americaines et/ou Chinoises et/ou indiennes) vers la Lune et vers Mars? Quelles sont les raisons de votre opposition ? #Space #scienceandtechnology Img esa.int/ESA_Multimedia…
A question for Americans that oppose returning to the Moon or going to Mars: What are your reasons for why?
South Korea #Space sector: In August 2022, the nation launched its first moon probe, Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter or Danuri, atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. Danuri reached lunar orbit 4 months later & is still going strong, studying #Moon with its suite of instruments.
South Korea just laid out its long-term space exploration road map, which features the planned construction of a moon base two decades from now. space.com/astronomy/moon…

Literally no other photos like these exist. The star tracker he built and brought to space to take these is the first of its kind. It was previously impossible to achieve this level of deep space detail from orbit. Unprecedented in astrophotography.

NGC 1333, Embryo Nebula, a reflection nebula located 967 ly away in Perseus. An active star-forming region within the larger Perseus molecular cloud. It contains young star clusters that are still embedded in their birth clouds. constellation-guide.com/ngc-1333-embry… #Space #Astrophysics

Betelgeuse … no more alone … but will destroy its companion when becoming supernova! Simple course of Life! #Space #Astronomy
Astronomers have, for the first time, imaged a long-predicted companion star orbiting Betelgeuse, a red supergiant in Orion. This smaller star, provisionally named Siwarha (Arabic for “Her Bracelet”), was detected using speckle imaging with the Alopeke instrument on Gemini North,…

Journey along Orion! #Space #Astronomy #lookingatthesky
What You’re Actually Seeing When You Look at Orion Orion is one of the most iconic constellations in the night sky—but what your eyes catch is only the surface of a much deeper, more complex cosmic structure. At the center lies Orion’s Belt: Alnitak, Alnilam, and Mintaka —…
