TODAY is the 75th anniversary of the first ever rocket launch from Cape Canaveral!🚀 Seen here on July 24, 1950, Bumper 8 was based on a German V-2 missile. Less than 400ft away, the photographers were knocked to the ground - well they'd never witnessed a rocket launch before 1/2

Apollo 11. Rarely seen shot of Eagle, the Moon and Earthrise, taken on this day, July 21, 1969. Mike Collin's alternate photo is extremely well known, but this one - shown remastered and cropped - is an absolute beauty!

Today in 1969. Neil Armstrong took this - the first ever photograph on the surface of another world. Remastered here from a scan of the actual film from Armstrong's camera.
