This morning I, a U.S. citizen, woke up to the news that an arrest warrant & a HKD $1 million bounty have been placed on my head by the Hong Kong govt. for exercising my freedoms in my own country. More to say later but for now: I will never be silenced, I will never back down.

Emotional scenes outside the State Department today as employees affected by a sweeping reduction in force leave the building. Current employees and supporters have lined up to “clap out” departing State Department staff at the department’s HQ in Foggy Bottom.
An honor to testify before my former colleagues at the @CECCgov on such an important topic, building on the analysis that @CherylYuuu published earlier this spring.

I’m grateful to stand with courageous voices like @_joeysiu and so many others who refuse to let freedom be erased. The CCP may try to silence but we cannot back down. Hong Kong’s fight is our fight too.

Highly objectionable: During his recent visit to #HongKong, HK-American comedian Jimmy O Yang met rights-abusing, US-sanctioned head of the authoritarian HK gov't John Lee. Yang's management agency posted the photo on Weibo. What does he think he's up to? x.com/hkdc_us/status…
Appallingly cynical & callous: As the crackdown in #HongKong goes on, with Hong Kongers stripped of their basic rights & hundreds of #PoliticalPrisoners, American comedian Jimmy O. Yang partners with HK gov't agency on propaganda campaign. hongkongfp.com/2025/06/25/com…
