Research Article by LN Shoemaker et al. (@WesternU @rasaeskandari) Two paths to one destination: altered low-frequency oscillations of #cerebralperfusion and #oxygenation but not oxygen #metabolism in mild #cognitiveimpairment 🧠 ow.ly/o90650W1NMu
Our perspective on dCA now included in the latest edition (2024) of Miller's Anesthesia ! Have a look at our piece in @PhysRep and don't be shy to share it ! physoc.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.14814/p… @jonathan_smirl @RyanLeoHoiland @LawrenceLabrecq @caldwellhannah7
The Hoiland Lab is looking to recruit an MSC student for September 2025. The position is funded ($25k/year) and focuses on hypoxic-ischemic brain injury pathophysiology. Students would be supported to apply for further scholarship/fellowship funding.
Proud to have two investigations from the Cerebrovascular Concussion Lab @uofcknes featured in this issue to kick off 2025! Great job from my @UCalgary team. There are many more impactful @_CARNet__ studies in the works for this year. Stay tuned....

Our most recent publication! Our data shows a delayed dCA response in hypercapnia and enhanced dCA during hypocapnia. Biological sex differences were most evident during 0.10 Hz squat–stand manoeuvres. doi.org/10.1113/EP0922… @_CARNet__ @uofcknes @UCalgary
A welcome addition to the cerebral autoregulation field. It is pretty clear that the autoregulatory plateau varies in length, slope and position. @IARS_Journals journals.lww.com/anesthesia-ana… Just a bit late for last week @_CARNet__ debate between Prof Paulson and @J_C_MD_PhD
Two papers back-to-back in @_JCBFM , good job by @Pat_Brassard and team, who ‘ve just organised an excellent @_CARNet__ conference in Quebec
The @_CARNet__ meeting wrapped up, and we're proud to have sponsored such a great gathering of scientific minds! Thanks to @CARickardsPhD and @Pat_Brassard for their nice work and for including the Diffuse Optics cominuty. Looking forward to more cerebral optical insights!

#CARNet2024 in Quebec City, Quebec was an absolute success! Thank you to all the organizers who put so much in to this and for giving us trainees an opportunity to present our research on the international stage. @_CARNet__ @CARickardsPhD @VietDinhSci
Absolutely blown away by the presentations, dinners, and networking at this year’s @_CARNet__ conference. So great to see everyone and catch up on the amazing work currently being done and be reminded of our history 🧠 counting down the days to CARNet 2025 #364daystogo

Many thanks @_CARNet__ for letting me present some of our recent work within this fantastic community of scientists. Was great to meet old friends and make new ones! @Pat_Brassard and team you were magnifique hosts both during and around the conference! Merci!
Early morning travel home from @_CARNet__ . Reminiscing on an excellent meeting. Grateful to see old friends, make new friends, and see some really interesting science. Looking forward to next year!
Well I have to say #CARNet2024 is going to be a tough one to beat. Rounded off with dinner at the beautiful national assembly in Quebec. @Pat_Brassard has outdone himself! Good luck @CARickardsPhD @_CARNet__ for 2025!!
Two of our students presenting their research with #CHiASM on cerebrovascular regulation in #ageing at #CARNet2024 @universitelaval in Quebec well done to Liv Edwards and Lauren walker @UoLCVS @DrJMinhas
The 13th International Cerebrovascular Research Network meeting in Quebec City has been fantastic - so much interesting research, data, and mix of research from clinical to animal work to modelling. Many thanks to @Pat_Brassard for hosting this year! @_CARNet__
It was fantastic to get a tour of @Pat_Brassard's lab to cap off Day 2 of #CARNet2024. There's a lot going on! The icing on the cake was spending time talking with colleagues at dinner (including Olaf Paulson!). I'm excited to see everyone at the 2025 meeting! @_CARNet__
