#STROKE: Age-related blood oxygen-level dependent cerebrovascular reactivity increases more among females than males, and these differences appear to be driven by changes in white matter, subcortical gray matter, and bilateral hippocampi. #AHAJournals ahajrnls.org/4e9nUUA
Great to see this published in @ExpPhysiol working with Mike Nelson. The paper extends the assessment of central arterial stiffness and wall mechanics (strain and strain rate) from ultrasound to MRI using a cine collected in every cardiac MRI ever taken. doi.org/10.1113/EP0925…
#CARNet2024 in Quebec City, Quebec was an absolute success! Thank you to all the organizers who put so much in to this and for giving us trainees an opportunity to present our research on the international stage. @_CARNet__ @CARickardsPhD @VietDinhSci

Our lab has to do Halloween even if we’re away 🎃👻 @CARickardsPhD @Austin_Phys @UNTHSC_CBTS
Well I have to say #CARNet2024 is going to be a tough one to beat. Rounded off with dinner at the beautiful national assembly in Quebec. @Pat_Brassard has outdone himself! Good luck @CARickardsPhD @_CARNet__ for 2025!!
I think this must be the most cited/presented figure on cerebral autoregulation! #CARNet2024 @jonathan_smirl 👏🙌
Some wonderful talks from Day 1 about #CerebralAutoregulation and #CerebralBloodFlow regulation as a whole at #CARNet2024. Looking forward to Day 2! @_CARNet__ @J_C_MD_PhD @CARickardsPhD @Pat_Brassard @alicen_whitaker
#Legends in the field discuss cerebral autoregulation, Professor Olaf Paulson and Dr Jurgen Claassen. #CARNet2024 #Cerebralbloodflow

Finally on our way to Québec (following a 2 hour delay)! (Don’t ask how long it took @Austin_Phys to do an A properly) #CARNet2024 @_CARNet__
Check out my first, first authored manuscript of my PhD! Thanks for highlighting our visual abstract @japplphysiol . #BloodFlow #0.1 Hz #Oscillations #phdvoice

This is why it's so hard to recruit "young healthys" for human studies at a graduate school.
Pretty strong evidence of negative mental health effects of doing a PhD. Recent working paper by @EvaRanehill, @annahsandberg, Sanna Bergvall, and Clara Fernström. Paper link: swopec.hhs.se/lunewp/abs/lun…
Nothing could eclipse the great time we had at #APS2024! #WeArePhysiology (1/2)
We’re ready for #APS2024! (ft. Austin’s backwards S)
