Progress
City Council overwhelmingly approved the Civility Ordinance for Downtown and the East End. A compassionate approach protects the homeless, connects them to care, and improves quality of life for all Houstonians. It’s progress on Mayor Whitmire’s plan to end homelessness.
We had a great time at @JeffBarryforTX’s Jammin’ Jambalaya this afternoon!

As a mom whose child needed a “baby helmet,” I know how important this legislation is. Well done @DiegoBernalTX! #txlege #HB426
These custom cranial orthotic “baby helmets” cost between $2000-$5000. In Texas, they were not covered by Medicaid or CHIP, leaving families with impossible choices. But they’re covered now. #HB426
