Can we kill this stupid idea that a male on hormones produces breastmilk like a mother’s? Men’s hormone regime omits prolactin (milk-making hormone which mothers produce post birth); they can’t make colostrum; the amount they can produce is minuscule; the drugs given have risks.

Thank you @ForWomenScot for highlighting how some men are demanding help to breastfeed infants. This disrupts & undermines the mother-baby dyad. The baby cannot benefit from it - it’s totally selfish. No public money or service should ever support it. x.com/ForWomenScot/s…
Scottish Trans worries that 'men who can breastfeed' might not be protected under maternity rights. We think they should be investigated for endangering babies, not protected! thescottishsun.co.uk/news/15029262/…
.@eveappeal please stop following this trend of pretending that gynaecological problems don’t happen to *women*, no matter how they identify. And no - ‘additive language’ like ‘women & people with gynae organs’ 🙄just adds to the mess. x.com/brupe/status/1…
"21 people die each day from their diagnosis" of a gynaecological cancer. Which people would those be? As @jk_rowling said, "Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?" The word is WOMEN ‒ use it! petition.parliament.uk/petitions/7165… @thirdsectorSEEN @SEENinHealth
.@GP_IFN Hi, GP Infant Feeding Network. We think it’s odd to illustrate your galactagogues (milk-stimulation stuff) info with a pic of a bare-chested male plus baby. We know some males try to lactate as a fetish(🚩)…you might want to change this? gpifn.org.uk/galactagogues

Yay! A truly woman-focussed initiative for women seeking antenatal education, support & advocacy. No ‘pregnant people’ or ‘women & other birthing parents’ here. Respected birth worker Mara’s new Birth Club knows it‘s vital to centre women & to say it. thebirthclub.co.uk
An image of a pregnant woman, but "1 in 5 people are pressured into having a child". It is one of the most consequential decisions someone can make. But massively more so for women than men. @UNFPA which do you mean? When sex matters, language matters. @WeAreWithWoman
Having a child is one of the most personal and consequential decisions someone can make. Everyone must be able to choose freely. See new research from @UNFPA—the @UN sexual and reproductive health agency–on #TheRealFertilityCrisis ➡️ unf.pa/rfc
New blog post from us:.pithy responses for anyone in maternity & women’s health who’s faced with demands for ‘gender neutral’ lingo ( ‘birthing people’, ‘menstruators’ & ‘people with a cervix’🤨). We explain why sexed language is vital. with-woman.org/2025/06/03/tit…
Great to see new mother-to-mother breastfeeding support org MoMa getting their socials sorted! x.com/MoMaBfing instagram.com/moma_breastfee… facebook.com/profile.php?id… bsky.app/profile/momabf… linkedin.com/company/moma-b…
Welcome with ❤️: MoMa breastfeeding support. A genuinely mother-to-mother organisation formed to be mother-centred, with no daft ideas that breastfeeding can or should be done by men (even the ones who say they‘re women). momab.org.uk
(MANA not MAMA- midwives of north America). That mother & women-erasing language has continued, but not as strongly as MANA wanted. In 10 years, we’ve seen fightback plus growing appreciation that you can’t be ‘woman-centred’ if you can’t properly name our sex, loud & proud.
This September it will be ten years since MAMA bowed to mother hating language- we still have much lost ground to recover. Ground which midwives deserted to “be kind” when their job is to safeguard Women and Mothers in their care huffpost.com/entry/transpho…
Transactivists have written to the EHRC demanding that "transwomen who breastfeed" are seen as key stakeholders in their upcoming consultation because these men "no longer have maternity protections" following the Supreme Court ruling. Hard to know where to start 😳🤦😬
Babies are the most vulnerable and need to be protected from these men. It is a safeguarding and child protection issue. Breastfeeding organisations need to be clear that their support is for mothers. @lalecheleague @LaLecheLeagueGB @AssocBfMothers @BfN_UK NCT @LCGB1994

Here’s the link to Helen Joyce calmly schooling #BBCwomanshour on the Supreme Court sex ruling 👏 x.com/SexMattersOrg/…
“Women’s spaces are for women. That’s non-negotiable.” Helen Joyce (@HJoyceGender) speaks to @BBCNuala on Woman’s Hour @BBCWomansHour about the Supreme Court ruling on the clarification of sex.
Nice clear explanation of the Supreme Court ruling by @HJoyceGender on @BBCWomansHour just now.
Hmm. I'd love to see your working out here. Is it 20% of colleagues, or is it 20% of the women who work there? Given the utter batshit use of language, we just don't know any more. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/7165… @SEENinHealth @WeAreWithWoman @WomensRightsNet @millihill

Important piece explaining why data on sex needs to be accurate, & how ‘digital ID’ risks deception.
‘Garbage data in, garbage data out’ On digital ID. ‘The Conservatives today attempted to amend the bill so that sex data would be taken solely from birth certificates. The amendment was defeated by 363 votes to 97’
