The mayor keeps posting 'before & after' pics of cleared tents but never any follow ups on the ppl who used to live there. Did they get housing/rehab/medical help? How did they end up there? Do we only care about hiding homelessness, not solving it? I think the answer is clear 😟

CSU Channel Islands professor Jonathan Anthony Caravello was arrested & disappeared by ICE in Camarillo yesterday. 4 pigs dragged Jonathan away without giving the reason for arrest and without disclosing where they are taking him. His whereabouts are still unknown. Please boost.
A comrade, Jonathan Caravello was taken by feds while defending farm workers. We’re trying to locate him but have not had any luck. It’s been over 24 hours since his arrest and we cannot find him in the system. We could use any help locating him. See links below.

🥳 CONGRATULATIONS to the City of LA on setting a NEW RECORD for LIABILITY PAYOUTS! 🥳 Liability payouts get taken out of the General Fund, not from the responsible department's budget. This leads to the defunding of other City departments and is contributing to city layoffs.

As a reporter, I'm a bit reluctant to rely on academic studies about things you can know by just talking to people in your community. But among the authors of this one is @VeniceJustice1, which includes Peggy Lee Kennedy, who's helped ppl clear vehicles citations for 20+ years.
