UN Secretary-General @AntonioGuterres is appalled by the accelerating breakdown of humanitarian conditions in #Gaza, where the last lifelines keeping people alive are collapsing, his Spokesperson said on Monday news.un.org/en/story/2025/…
Children do not start conflicts, and they are powerless to stop them. But they suffer greatly, and they wonder why the world has failed them. And make no mistake, we have failed them.
In #Gaza, space for people is shrinking by the day. The latest mass displacement order not only forced people to flee again but also further crippled Gaza’s remaining lifelines. 2.1 million people are now expected to squeeze into 12% of the Strip.
Over the weekend in Gaza, we saw yet more mass shootings & killings of people seeking @UN aid – an atrocious & inhumane act which I utterly condemn. We need an immediate ceasefire, the immediate release of all hostages & unimpeded humanitarian access.
Silencing voices. As if banning international media is not enough. Humanitarian workers are also banned when they report on atrocities committed in #Gaza & elsewhere in the occupied Palestinian territory. The denial of a visa to our colleague from @ochaopt is the latest in a…

🔴 Hunger is widespread in Gaza and people are dying. 🔴 Deadly malnutrition among children is reaching catastrophic levels. 🔴 Food is dangerously scarce, and clean water is below emergency levels . 🔴 Aid is severely restricted and dangerous to access. This is a man-made…
I am appalled that @UN premises have been struck, among them facilities of the UN Office for Project Services and the @WHO, incld. WHO’s main warehouse. These premises are inviolable, must be protected under international humanitarian law, without exception. - @antonioguterres
People in Gaza are starving to death. @UNICEF is warning that deadly malnutrition among children is reaching catastrophic levels. Humanitarian aid at scale is urgently needed. Safe, unrestricted access into Gaza must be granted to save lives.
A @WHO staff member in #Gaza remains in detention by the Israeli military.: bit.ly/4mblmrU WHO demands the immediate release of our colleague. We call for the protection of all humanitarians. A ceasefire in Gaza is overdue!
#Gaza: Israel's latest displacement orders & intensive attacks on Deir El Balah add more misery to the suffering of hungry Palestinians. It seemed the nightmare couldn’t possibly get worse. And yet it does. There must be an immediate end to the killings & destruction.…

🚨Starvation is tightening its grip on #Gaza. 2 million people face acute hunger. 155,000 pregnant women & new mothers are barely surviving. Too weak to breastfeed. No formula. No clean water. Thousands of newborns are at risk of death or irreversible harm. Enough.#ceasefire

The desperation caused by a lack of food and other necessities of life is forcing Palestinians to approach GHF sites and humanitarian convoys, even though between 27 May and 21 July, 1,054 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli military in Gaza while trying to access food. Of…
Caregivers in #Gaza are resorting to desperate measures—cutting up old clothes or stitching plastic bags into makeshift diapers. These unsafe alternatives pose a serious risk of infection for children. Thousands of children in Gaza are in urgent need of diapers. Supplies are…
WHO operations compromised following attacks on warehouse and facility sheltering staff and families in Gaza WHO condemns in the strongest terms the attacks on a building housing WHO staff in Deir al Balah, in the middle area of Gaza, the mistreatment of those sheltering there,…
[1/8] People in #Gaza who have survived bombs & bullets are starving. Yesterday, Israeli forces again fired on crowds waiting for aid trucks. Hospitals report >80 people killed. The starving arrived as the wounded. There seems to be no limits to this cruelty. A🧵from Gaza…
People in #Gaza, including UNRWA colleagues, are fainting due to severe hunger. They are being starved. Meanwhile, just a few kilometers away from Gaza supermarkets and shops are loaded with food and other goods. Lift the siege. Allow UNRWA to bring in food and medicines.
.@WHO’s staff residence in Deir al Balah, #Gaza, was attacked three times today as well as its main warehouse. Israeli military entered the premises, forcing women and children to evacuate on foot toward Al-Mawasi amid active conflict. Male staff and family members were…
Reports in that @UNOPS premises in central #Gaza was struck today. My immense gratitude & thoughts are with colleagues supporting humanitarian operations in such difficult times. Aid workers must be protected & all parties must abide by international humanitarian law.
