Everyone who works in the NHS needs to undergo some very basic ethics training: Is lying about patient safety right or wrong? Is telling staff to make risk data "look good" right or wrong? Is bullying suicidal staff right or wrong?

@pash22 This is why @DrGailBusby is doing what she is. The #trauma we are too often left with following awake, no-pain-relief #hysteroscopy procedures is cruel and unnecessary. Brutal OPH's can be life altering & detrimental to our future health as we are left with no trust.

Well done @DrGailBusby for setting a new path, so many gynaes& @RCObsGyn will look back and realise they were on the wrong side of history for pushing hysteroscopy with no anaesthetic on most women& causing so much harm. Time to re-evaluate those 90% outpatient targets @NHSGIRFT

Sedation won’t prevent autonomic collapse. It will need intracervical local anaesthetic with a dental syringe as well ! You need to stop misleading women.

How can anyone cost the long term damage of OP #hysteroscopy? No HCPs taking pain scores during, none checking up on women after. Are CAPH the only ones who care enough to support these distraught women after such appalling gynae violence?

What a very disappointing response. Does the fact that women’s healthcare has been marginalised, underfunded and under-researched for decades not matter to you? Or is it bc this is s.o standing up for decent pain relief for an excruciating procedure? This has really upset me
