If there’s one thing this Indian side didn’t do it’s throw in the towel. Wicket keeper bat broke his foot and came out to bat. The two lead pacers suffered niggles and injuries and still put in a shift post that right at end of the day bowling lengthy spells.
India seem to have all but given up; on the Test and the series. #INDvsENGTest
'He only averages 39 in Ranji Trophy' - not many with that number would look as in control as Sai Sudharsan did today. If you are ignoring age when reading young players' numbers, might as well just sort the squad by batting average.
KL Rahul so committed to the playing late approach. Deepest interception points of anyone in the series, consistently looking to go squarer with his scoring areas, leaving almost everything outside his eyeline. Just gets in such a lovely rhythm
“you look tired” yes bro i stayed up all night obsessing over things i have no control over
This from our All time Indian test draft. Where each of these teams play a hypothetical test series in India. Comment which team wins.
Saurabh, Varun and I did an all-time India 15 draft. The assumption is that the hypothetical matches/series would be played in India. youtube.com/live/uAebHJ6Ix…
Going live with Varun and @TweetsByShayan in 10-15 mins. We're going to each be picking an all-time Indian Test team, draft style. So that means one player goes to only one team. And we end up with three Indian Test squads. Join us. It'll be fun! youtube.com/watch?v=uAebHJ…
Ind in matches with Saha as WK: 23-6. Ind in matches with Pant as WK: 23-19. Ind W/L with and without Pant since debut: 1.2 (23-19) vs 2.8 (14-5). All these along with Bumrah W/L numbers going around come from similar places, at some point you have to grow a brain.
In Overseas Wins. Kohli: 23 M, 1582 Runs, 40.56 Avg, 4 100s Pujara: 20 M, 1525 Runs, 43.57 Avg, 6 100s Rahane: 20 M, 1517 Runs, 47.4 Runs, 5 100s. Nearly same stats. Kohli has least 100 and least average. Sadly, Pujara and Rahane are not applauded as much as Virat. #INDvsENG…

I swear to you… tonight, we will sleep hungry. Today, prices have skyrocketed beyond belief. There is no food left in our home, and nothing in the markets. We tried—truly tried—to stay alive. We used to love life, We clung to it with every ounce of strength we had. But the…

Professional cricketer OR superstar podcaster? 🤔 This question from @NoBallsTCP left @gradecricketer stumped 😅 #BBCCricket
The last 57 times a target of below 200 was set in men's Tests (dating back to 2019-mid), 54 times the chasing team won. 1 time it was a draw. Remaining two: India lose to NZ - Wankhede - Target 147 India lose to Eng - Lord's - Target 193 #ENGvsIND
T20s couldn’t dream of producing a contest like this.
You cannot middle a ball much more than this.
Ben Stokes has never bowled more in the fourth innings of a Test match. As of tea on Day 5, it's also the third-most overs he has ever bowled in a Test. #ENGvIND His spells read: 4.4-0-15-1 (Day 4, Session 3) 9.2-1-19-1 (Day 5, Session 1) 10-3-14-1 (Day 5, Session 2)
A change I noticed with Gill was his backswing when facing straighter deliveries; his hands used to go out and come towards the ball than come straight in line. Hence, bat pad gap problem. It helps in generating more power but obvious limitations in tests. Has solved it. Also-
