Many people misunderstanding how over rates are calculated here and that's fine! There shouldn't be any reason to know! Teams should bowl their overs in time! But physios and pissing and wickets and ladybirds are all factored in, real dif is India bowled 10 more overs of spin.
JUST IN: England have been docked two points from their World Test Championship tally and fined 10% of their match fee for their slow over rate in the Lord's Test against India #ENGvIND
#ENGvsIND Crawley and Duckett set up a potential lead, but can they arrest their aversion to centuries? India’s bowlers shook off a sleepy start and Pant bravely batted despite a foot fracture. Ben Jones joins Daniel Norcross for our daily pod. 🎙️Listen: pod.fo/e/301cde
Zak Crawley's combined Test average against Cummins, Rabada, Bumrah, Hazlewood, Starc: 53.76
Ball is doing loads out there, highest swing degree for any day of this #ENGvIND series. Decent seam as well. And yet - albeit long way to go in this Test, and with a chunk of runs to work with - India have completely wasted this new ball. Lines have been atrocious
Ben Stokes now the 4th player to bank 10 centuries and 5 five-wicket hauls #EngvInd stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stat…
This is the first time since Ben Stokes' first Test series (13/14 Ashes) that he's taken 15 wickets in a series. #ENGvIND
#ENGvIND: A return to the more familiar slate skies of cricket in England, but will India’s mood be made greyer by the foot injury to their talisman Rishabh Pant? @norcrosscricket and @benjonescricket report from Manchester. Daily pod out now! 🎙️Listen:pod.fo/e/30114e
This is a big challenge for Liam Dawson, bowling to Rishabh Pant. The Indian left-hander strikes at 131 against SLA in Test cricket, averaging 88 - it's the fastest scoring matchup of batter v bowler type in Test history (min 200 balls faced). #ENGvIND

India's No.3s in the last year: Gill Gill Kohli Gill Gill Padikkal Gill Gill Rahul Gill Sudharsan Nair Nair Sudharsan 14 Tests, no one's got to do it three times in a row.
KL Rahul so committed to the playing late approach. Deepest interception points of anyone in the series, consistently looking to go squarer with his scoring areas, leaving almost everything outside his eyeline. Just gets in such a lovely rhythm
Just synched the BBC Sport, ITV and BBC Sounds commentaries for Agyemang’s goal and it’s like poetry I’ve been listening to this over and over again
This is really good 👍
🚍Cricket on the buses. A piece on the Windrush generation and a unique period of history where arguably the strongest club cricket in England was played between London Transport bus garages. Thanks to @alextudorcoach and his dad Darrell for their time observer.co.uk/news/sport/art…
I know he had 27 Tests, but Darren Lehmann belongs in the unlucky Aussie Test XI. Caught the one and only time he was ever racist and then his team was caught the one and only time they ever ball tampered. What are the chances?
Who deserves a shout here in the 'unlucky' Aussie Test XI? Looking at players who may have gotten more of a run at Test level if circumstances were different.
Take a look at the full men's squads for 2025! 😮💨 #TheHundred
I’ve not emotion and fire like this since the #LateCut started 5 years ago…
Drama to the very end as England take series lead over India 🔥 #LateCut
On Friday, I was lucky enough to spend the day with @HomeOfCricket groundstaff. Fascinating, long, hot day where I learnt a hell of a lot (and had some very funny pictures taken) telegraph.co.uk/cricket/2025/0…
Shubman Gill may believe there is mutual "admiration" between the teams but a new-look India side and England's cooling interest in the IPL means there are few genuine friendships Expect another feisty week in Manchester after the needle at Lord's espncricinfo.com/story/eng-vs-i…
