I talk about cricket.
That partnership was my love for test cricket in a nutshell. The technique, the temperament, the will power — this is true batting mastery. Not slogging devoid of jeopardy on roads. Test cricket >>>
Has every match in this series gone on to day 5, with both teams alive?
If India get through the day without losing another, a draw on this wicket isn’t completely out of the equation. This partnership is the key, though.
Came to hate watch England, but this India performance is too embarrassing so I’ll just laugh at them lol
While I agree, this is a big transition period for bowling. The likes of Anderson, Broad, Steyn, Southee, Boult, Ashwin, Philander, etc have stepped down in the last 3-5 years, of course there will be a bit of a lull. Great generations don’t spawn one after the other.
Don’t shout at me but batting these days is way easier than 20/25 years ago! Probably twice as hard back then! Waqar, Shoaib, Akram, Mushtaq, Kumble, Srinath, Harbhajan, Donald, Pollock, Klusener, Gough, McGrath, Lee, Warne, Gillespie, Bond, Vettori, Cairns, Vaas, Murali,…
“If he played as a long” arguments, in any sport, stem from ignorance. He didn’t play as long, and there’s a good reason why. To maintain excellence during the course of a 15-20 year career is one of the greatest, most difficult accolades in professional sport.
This is hilariously stupid because Sachin literally has one of the highest averages on this list.
Maturity is when you realise everyone in the list would break Sachin's record if they played the number of matches Sachin has played in his career.
Smith is still the best red ball batter of this generation, idc.
The way India are crumbling physically needs serious investigation. This isn’t normal.
People who don’t understand the significance of batting long in test cricket clearly don’t understand the game. Sundar isn’t an elite batsmen, but he doesn’t need to be. He’s an anchor, and consistently batting 50+ balls is HUGELY significant.
Sundar is a very irritating batsman for both teams. His batting is ugly. He doesn't get out. He doesn't score runs. His purpose is to bore viewers to death.
Wait, so India play the rest of the test a batter down? Oh that is brutal.
🚨 RISHABH PANT ADVISED FOR 6 WEEK REST 🚨 - Medical team is checking if Pant can bat after taking a pain-killer if need be but chances are slim. [Devendra Pandey from Express Sports] Ishan Kishan set to be added to the squad for the 5th Test.
