Just finished in Potsdam. The Plögerscher Gasthof was originally built in 1754, damaged in the War, and demolished by the communist authorities in 1958. The local government has been gradually rebuilding historic Potsdam since the 1990s, this being a recent example.
I was 13. The summer my dad moved us from Newcastle to Benfleet, Essex. No wonder so many of the songs come straight to mind. And I got a new name. Geordie.

Blackpool’s seafront is lined with promenade shelters, most of which have stood for more than 100 years. 🌅 These rare Edwardian cast-iron shelters retain much of their original design. 6 were relocated in 2005, while others remain on the North Promenade.

Recently I’ve been pursuing a lot more shoots in B&W. In some ways it’s far less forgiving than colour since you have to concentrate on form & structure & the crucial interplay between highlights & shadows. It also encourages you to seek out new views & perspectives :) @My_Metro
