@TexacoHavoline
Just a 37 year old “boomer” who loved NASCAR for what it was before it got stupid.
The driver doesn't factor in. It's the idea of how dismissive they were/are to a driver (former or current) who has an opinion that doesn't align with their/Nascar's ideas. It's this idea that no one is allowed to have a valid opinion unless it is pre-approved by Nascar and…
▪︎ Drivers don't like the Playoffs. ▪︎ Retired drivers don't like the Playoffs. ▪︎ Fans don't like the Playoffs. Yet @DanielleTrotta praying to God that we keep "moving forward" with lower ratings, lower ticket sales, & less legitimacy.
Here is the clip
Real ones know the original tweet was spicier.
I can't argue with this.
NO WE DONT
Mark you know I love you but what we got is a whole lot better than what we used to do. We need a playoff we need eliminations we need to reward winning and consistency. This format does it all & is highly entertaining!
NASCAR media when Jesus Christ comes back to earth and says the playoffs could “maybe be reworked” but Jesus has 0 championships
We shouldnt even be having a discussion to begin with about playoffs in NASCAR. Fans and drivers were clearly letting NASCAR know back then that they werent in favor of it but went ahead and implemented anyway.Reading through the archives from late 03 to January of 04 always hurt
I will go to my grave on @MarkMartin’s side on this. What it took to win a championship in the season-long format was intrinsically harder to do than what we have now. It didn’t feel like a random draw, it didn’t come with a 17th place average finish. You had to be near flawless.
I'm excited for 2030 when Nascar finally goes back to the old points system and retroactively gives Gordon the rest of his Championships.
Mine was 20,000 fans. I think that’s a decent sample size.
That’s 317 people…. I’m sorry but most viewers want to be entertained by Hail Marys instead of “good points days” the fact every driver has the same opportunity every race to make their season is thrilling. Especially at superspeedways. Consistency just isn’t exciting

Went to give bloodwork for my annual checkup at the doc today. Met a lady there who reminded me that this Sunday is National Cancer Survivors Day. She mentioned that she was a survivor and wanted me to mention the occasion on the broadcast. Unsure if I would be able to find an…
Every year, I share this video of French caretakers who take sand from Omaha Beach in Normandy, and scrub them into the letters to give them the gold coloring. They do this for all 9,386 US soldiers who died. France also gave us this land as American soil. #MemorialDayWeekend
facebook.com/share/1GnSuc6f… @DaleJr A local guy to me with a little NASCAR history to him.
If the NASCAR championship was decided before the last race, would fans be less interested in the final races? In 2000, 74% of people said the championship being decided early wouldn't affect their interest at all. 16% said they'd still watch, but not as close. 10% said football
On this date [Nov 16] in 1997: Jeff Gordon celebrated at @ATLMotorSpdwy after winning the #NASCAR championship. Gordon won 10 races in 1997 and claimed the championship by 14 pts over @DaleJarrett. It was his 2nd of 4 career Cup championships.
Time...it often stands still in our minds, especially when it comes to our heroes. No one was tougher, worked harder, yet was an incredibly kind person, and no one did it his way more than Bobby Allison. Frst time meeting BA - '75 testing the Matador for Mr. Penske. My mom…
