A rare mid-event paint scheme change Dale Jr. qualified at Charlotte in October 2004 with the normal Bud car, but after qualifying, it was announced the car would switch to a special World Series paint scheme for the race

Shout out to Mark Martin. So many former drivers just fade away and you can't tell if they still care about NASCAR. Mark's from an era with bigger attendance and higher viewership and wants others to climb to the peaks that he and his peers reached. Gotta love the man's passion
RIP Ozzy Osbourne The rock legend was a special guest at the April 2017 race at Texas Motor Speedway, calling the drivers to their cars ahead of the command to start engines
A video about Cup series driver's seats from 1993. You can see the major evolution between then and now; including a look at Dale Earnhardt's Ford passenger car seat
"If someone asks to see your ID, and you show 'em your belt buckle..."

"Penske executives had already privately decided headed into its Iowa Speedway doubleheader that the track was not long for IndyCar's schedule…” Indycar has a history of self-sabotage to drop events they don't want (Fontana). You didnt see Iowa promotion because they didn't…

Cookie Momster is the grand marshal for the Brickyard 400 Elmo waved the green flag for a race at Charlotte in 1993
B is for Brickyard, and C is for Cookie 🍪 @SesameStreet’s @MeCookieMonster will serve as the Grand Marshal for the #Brickyard400!
At Dover in 1979, James Hylton's race car had a HORN in it. He promised to honk the horn at his competitors during the race (The tune the horn played was Rossini's William Tell Overture)
Felix Sabates wasn’t happy with the decision that @kylepetty was penalized at @CLTMotorSpdwy, so he showed up to the @MonsterMile with a new paint scheme. The No. 42 car looked identical to Dale Earnhardt’s No. 3 car.
The Dover trophy of the monster holding the diecast of the winning car has to be one of the coolest trophies in NASCAR. It was first introduced in September 2004

IndyCar at Dover seems like such an unlikely pairing, but it happened on this date in 1998 Some of Dover's modern infrastructure is due to this race: concrete pit boxes and wider aprons were installed specifically for this race
Last night's FS1 broadcast of High Limit sprint car racing from Eldora averaged 239,000 viewers Very similar numbers to FloRacing's earlier FS1 broadcast in May of the CARS Tour race at North Wilkesboro (253,000 viewers)

RIP Rex White. The 1960 champion was one of the toughest drivers on short tracks at the dawn of the 1960s

RIP Our Motorsports. That was a fun new team to watch in 2020 with Brett Moffitt carrying them to some really strong runs. Andy Lally making them look like contenders at road courses. Anthony Alfredo's pole at Portland

July 18, 2004: During practice for the ALMS race at Sonoma, Dale Jr was in a firey crash. In an interview with 60 Minutes, Dale shared how he was convinced someone pulled him out of the burning car.
