A Heat Advisory is in effect for all of Middle Tennessee west of the Cumberland Plateau from Sunday thru Wednesday. Heat index values of 105°+ are expected across most of the mid state. Monday thru Wednesday are going to be the hottest (although tomorrow will be plenty hot, too).
You know the drill. Stay cool, seek shade, drink plenty of water (even if you don't feel thirsty), and know the signs of heat illness. Check in on elderly neighbors, young children, and anyone without A/C. Never leave children or pets in cars - even for a minute.

We're all tired of this miserable heat, but it's only going to get worse. Next Tue & Wed will bring some of the hottest temps of the season so far with heat indices of 105-110°. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and check on those around you.

All of Midsouth is under an Extreme Heat Warning today, with heat indices peaking at or above 110. We will get an ever so slight break in the heat this weekend, before the extreme heat returns Monday and Tuesday.
There are some locally-run cooling centers open in West Tennessee with this heat and humidity. Check with local officials for guidance and stay hydrated!
⚠️The heat continues to build across the region. Tomorrow will be another dangerously hot day. Stay hydrated, avoid strenuous activity during the heat of the day, wear loose, light colored clothing, and spend as much time as possible in the AC. #tnwx #mswx #mowx #arwx
