The easiest win for the next Democratic would be to remove all tariffs and watch the economy flourish and prices go down. Not doing this immediately was Biden's first and possibly biggest mistake
Eh. Overthinking it. The tariffs are unpopular and a president can ditch them unilaterally. As Trump has shown, you can in fact just do things.
Too many people are going to therapy to absolve themselves of bad behavior
thoughts on mental health that would have you like this?
Humanities and STEM people love to fight with each other while funding for both is gutted to give a tax break to rent seeking car dealership owners who barely graduated high school.
Hey @grok who was the most famous person to block my account?
I think cities should make a list of public works that local organizations can handle on their own. They can even apply online and get approval beforehand. It doesn't need to be rogue operators
The goal is not for residents have to paint their own crosswalks. The goal is for streets to be safe. If the city can’t deliver that in a reasonable timeframe, it should support residents who want to make their streets safer—not fight them.
People love to announce to the world how stupid they are.
people LOVE paying higher rents. it’s just common sense! show them this picture!!
The biggest frustration people have is inflation around housing and eating out. In order to fix the latter, we need to solve the former. People want deflationary policies to lower costs. It's time to give it to them.
Building new affordable housing is great, but building any new housing also makes the other 98% of housing cheaper—and that helps everyone. When we have more options, that means less competition for every apartment and lower rents.
To be fair, the country starting a GoFundMe was a predictable outcome

100% yes. There are cars/motorcycles that drive Manhattan revving their cars at literal fighter-jet decibel levels and disrupting tens of thousands of people's lives. And they do it on purpose. It's not a game, noise pollution causes actual health harms. Fine them.
Does this type of antisocial behavior deserve a ticket?

I would support this kind of parking fee in San Diego if every penny went into expanding existing bus services while also adding one or two more direct lines into each beach area
As much as I criticize the CA Coastal Commission, in Florida cities are now charging *$50* to park at the beach on the weekend
I would like to see a statewide upzoning for all bus stops. It doesn't have to be 75 foot heigh limits, but a substantial upzoning would be good
Nearly every detail this person said about SB 79 was wrong. The law covers transit, "defined as all the way down to a qualified bus stop." That's a hell of a sleight of hand. The law covers BRT, of which there are maybe a dozen lines statewide—not 99.9% of bus stops.
