My book, Truth Not Served By Human Hands, is set to release this November from @Christian_Focus. The guidance from @MattMBarrett and J.V. Fesko has proved invaluable in concluding this project. To prep for the release, would you subscribe to my substack? (Linked below)

My upcoming book is available for pre-order on Amazon! amazon.com/Truth-Not-Serv…
I don't think that my personal reading should be required reading, but, yes, every educator should read this particular book.
I’m looking forward to this one. I’m already convictionally and vocationally in the world of classical, Christian ed. But I read whatever @T_A_Gatewood tells me to.
My unironic reaction to the Noah and the Whale fight scene during the new Superman movie.

Look, I'll say the hard thing. If we want to improve as a country, we have to do something about Pat McAfee. Let's collectively decide to try something new.
Mainstream education has no grounding to say a human is worth more than a humanoid robot. As far as it’s concerned, both exist to fuel the economy. We can choose a return to classical education or we can expect a dystopian future.
Then every first draft I’ve ever written was a complete success.
Never forget, the first draft isn’t supposed to be perfect, or even very good. It’s supposed to leave you convinced you have the intellect of a walnut
I know the Mastricht set received a lot of attention (as it should!), but the individual volumes of TPT are also on sale from @RHB_Books. A good deal for those who already have some of the volumes and missed out on the set before it sold out. heritagebooks.org/products/theor…
“Discipline is choosing what you want most over what you want now.” I’m embarrassed to admit how motivating I find pithy statements like this. My kid the other day hit me with “teamwork makes the dream work,” and I knew I was rubbing off on him.
Casual questions dropped in my 3rd through 5th grade catechism class about the harrowing of hell and Jesus’s descent. Ya know, real normal stuff that any adult can handle at the drop of a hat. Paging @M_Y_Emerson
One of the biggest misunderstandings in modern nomenclature has to do with the word “nature.” When Christians say something isn’t “natural,” we don’t mean “it doesn’t happen in nature.” We mean “it goes against our human nature.” What’s “natural” to animals is a different topic.
b-but they said that b-being g-gay is against natural l-laws??
Both ways, like Chesterton: “We have to feel the universe at once as an ogre's castle, to be stormed, and yet as our own cottage, to which we can return to at evening.”
Which way, O Western man?
If your “private religion” has no direct relevance on your work or political stances, then you have no religion, private or otherwise.
This was utterly disrespectful to my family, my constituents including the congregation, and the democratic process. My private religion will continue to have zero direct relevance to my work as an MP representing all my constituents without fear or favour. 3/3
The original idea of universal education was to make the classical education of the aristocracy available to everyone. Instead it turned into an effort to eliminate classical education altogether in favor of vocationalism and political activism.
My brother, the original Dr. Gatewood, would have been 46 today. We lost him 4 years ago, but he dedicated his life to caring for cancer patients and furthering cancer research. He was a committed force for good in a scary world. He kept a list of every patient he ever served.

People are starving for companionship and are willing to accept an unfeeling AI’s mimicry of affection.
Thought it would be good for a few laughs but this sub is legit making me cry. People are getting so lonely man.
May I remember the dignity of my spiritual release, never be too busy to attend to my soul, Never be so engrossed with time That I neglect the things of eternity. The Valley of Vision, “A Christian’s Prayer” Feels like a prayer for the modern age.
I see this often in the Christian K-12 world, too. Families might fall into the mistake of (1) replacing their church with a school (may it never be!) or (2) holding a school to the standards of their church. It’s a different institution meant to complement and work alongside.
"Colleges arent churches" is apparently a novel concept for some.
