I hope that through my role as a London Assembly member and local councillor I can continue my father’s legacy and prioritise the needs for young people in our city. Today I will enjoy the biscuits my kids made to celebrate, hoping my dad is looking down at us with a smile.

Feeling incredibly humbled and overwhelmed by the kind messages I have received today about being on the New Years “OBE list”. Thank you! When my father passed away in 2011, he left our family a legacy, to make sure we improved the lives for the next generation.

Congratulations @HinaBokhariLD on being awarded an OBE for services to Young People, Charity and Inter Faith Relations. Very much deserved. Just recently she was fighting to ensure young people could continue to access TfL services affordably despite cyberattack.

I'm thrilled to see my friend Hina Bokhari AM receive an OBE. @HinaBokhariLD is a champion for diversity, equality and opportunity for all. She's made an extraordinary impact through her work with young people and leadership in inter-faith relations.

My last question of the year for the Mayor was to push him on ensuring all customers who were impacted by the TfL cybersecurity incident were fully compensated. Many Londoners have contacted me about this, in particular students and dial-a-ride users.
