It shouldn't be a surprise that Matthew Barrett is now an Anglican. He denied Sola Scriptura, likening it to "solo" Scriptura. History has shown that liturgical use of creeds and confessions drifts people away from Scripture, not towards it. This pattern will continue.

The book of Hosea is a great reminder that prophecies in the OT can have both physical and spiritual fulfillments. Hosea literally married a prostitute. That prostitute symbolically illustrated Israel's spiritual future.
Some may ask, "What will happen to the Church without John MacArthur?" The real question is, "What will happen to the Church without expository preaching?" The Church can survive without MacArthur. It can’t survive without faithful preaching.

What is an effective evangelism resource you use at your church?
Christ is indeed the fulfillment of every Bible verse, but He is not the meaning of every Bible verse. All Scripture comes to fruition through Christ. Yet this does not give the reader license to strip verses of their literal sense and replace it with allegories of Christ.
