More decentralization of political power in Maryland is the only way forward. Too much power is in a few seats in Annapolis. And Annapolis is run by special interests and lobbyists, not the people of MD.

Here in @TakomaParkMD the politicians don't advocate for full throated Marxism, yet. They always highlight the "Takoma Park Food Co-Op" as the model. I believe @MontCoExec co founded it. It's a smaller store with high-priced organics. It does attempt profit (gasp).

Spot-on by Kira Davis. This smug Elitism is also very prevalent in Annapolis. The "ruling class" determines that everyone else in MD exists to serve them.

Yes. Yesterday was a PRIME example. Pure gridlock everywhere near bridges. You literally couldn't cross into VA. The local politicians don't give a damn. Some even have chauffeur service on our dime.
According to @ConsumerAffairs, the DC area has dethroned Los Angeles for having the worst traffic in the nation. They say the DMV's average commute time is now 33.4 minutes vs. 30.5 in Los Angeles. In 2024 DC was number 2.

yes, ocean city is very expensive to visit these days. people still come but it's noticeably slower. the cost to dine out, a dozen donuts from fractured prune or a scoop of ice cream from vanderwendes is insanely expensive.
