Shai Davidai
@ShaiDavidai
Jewish Israeli. Father. Partner. Zionist. Asst Professor. Barred from @Columbia for speaking out against anti-Jewish, anti-Israel and anti-American terrorism.
Zionism is the radical belief that Jews are a people too.
Only three out of ~150 full-time faculty at @Columbia_Biz reached out after I left. @Columbia’s problem isn’t just corrupt leadership. Its problem is too many spineless faculty with no moral compass who’d sell their integrity for a research grant.
Today, @Columbia finalized discipline for the May 2024 Alumni Weekend Encampment. Mahmoud Khalil participated in that encampment, including fighting with Public Safety officers and crawling into a tent that was being confiscated. Why didn't Columbia discipline him?
Why are people still surprised when Hamas supporters like Mahmoud Khalil refuse to condemn Hamas?

This is a professor at @Columbia... The rot is deep.
Sobering: Professor #JosephHawley @Columbia posted these Instagram stories...
Don’t let @Columbia pull a fast one on @POTUS and his team - the so-called deal is nothing but putting lipstick on a pig. Columbia needs real structural change, not another empty PR stunt to save President Shipman's face. tabletmag.com/sections/news/…
This is Columbia once again vying for a PR win. The strategy? Elicit praise for quick fixes to pave the way for a deal that abandons the need for structural reform. These are good first steps, but I’m sick of being expected to praise the bare minimum from Columbia.
BREAKING: @Columbia "incorporates" IHRA definition of antisemitism, appoints Title VI and VII coordinators, and announces partnerships with ADL, Project Shema, Foundation to Combat Antisemitism, and Kalaniyot. They will also no longer meet with CUAD. Nice gestures -- I support…

Why @ShaiDavidai is leaving @Columbia. When antisemitism became institutional, radical professors fanned the flames and colleagues stayed silent, I had no choice but to walk away. But I won’t stop fighting.
Here is why I left @Columbia. tabletmag.com/sections/news/…
🚨🚨Is anyone investigating this? 🚨🚨 A pro-Hamas student group at @CUNY is collecting donations for a suspect of multiple hate crimes. When he was arrested, cops found multiple weapons and seized hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash. Remember: Lying who you are…

Israel is the only country in the Middle East where you can openly criticize every country in the Middle East.
Remember when science was about truth rather than ideology? This isn't some random academic. She is the editor of an academic journal. Her decisions have direct effect on Jewish and Israeli professors. The rot is deep.

This guy was charged with multiple hate crimes for repeatedly attacking Jews. In his home, the police found hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and several weapons. His phone had text messages expressing his desire to attack Jews. This is who @ColumbiaBDS is fighting…
Tarek Bazrouk assaulted me on the streets of NYC. The @Columbia protest movement just called the charges “bogus” and took his side. This is what Columbia’s culture of antisemitism looks like. A $200 million fine is not going to fix anything. We need real accountability.

VICTORY: Shai Davidai CLEARED of Columbia’s Baseless Investigation chng.it/5Yg9mfsZkt
@ShaiDavidai: "Where's Hollywood?" @debramessing: "I'm embarrassed. Literally, Hollywood was built by Jews"
Prof. Mamdani rationalizes suicide bombings, much like Prof. Joseph Slaughter, director of @Columbia's Human Rights Institute, rationalized plane hijackings by the PFLP. Both Mamdani and Slaughter sit on Columbia's Senate. Columbia has a serious problem with extremist faculty.
"Suicide bombing needs to be understood as a feature of modern political violence rather than stigmatized as a mark of barbarism.” Columbia Prof Mamdani wrote this. His son, NYC mayoral-candidate Zohran, refuses to condemn "Globalize the intifada." Coincidence?
"During my six years there, I met plenty of well-paid bureaucrats — but not once did I meet a true leader." Sadly, this has been my universal experience in education.
I didn’t leave @Columbia to “pursue other endeavors.” I left because I no longer trust its so-called leadership to confront the anti-Jewish, anti-Israel, and anti-American hate festering on campus. During my six years there, I met plenty of well-paid bureaucrats — but not once…
