Normal people who just wanted to do work & got caught in the madness
Throwing rocks at, shoving, and harassing Jewish students is not legitimate protest. We shared this video a year ago during the encampment to show what Jewish students were experiencing. Since then, the calls for violence have only grown more explicit.
(🧵 1/5) There are many, many serious errors of fact that the esteemed Associate Professor of English @jrslaugh made in his statement to the University Senate on June 13, 2025. Some are downright silly. We'll just cover three.

"Columbia has more progress to make before Jewish students can truly feel safe on its campus. The Committee’s work has underscored the depth and breadth of antisemitism at @Columbia that can't be ignored. We will continue to investigate antisemitism at Columbia and other…
CUAD is defending a criminal. Jakhi McCray chose to burn police cars — no one forced him. Actions have consequences. It’s time for the community to step up and take action where these organizations fall short. Hold them accountable. Protect our communities.
Columbia University has suspended for 1-3 years or expelled more than 70 students for their roles in the disruptive Butler Library protest during finals. Good. They deserve it. A spokesperson said, “Our institution must focus on delivering on its academic mission for our…
