The disciplinary actions have been confirmed in an official @Columbia statement. Note the important role that moving discipline and rules processes out of the University Senate and into the Provost's office played in getting to these decisions. It's already making a difference.
BREAKING: Another positive update from @Columbia — after Public Safety officers successfully contained and identified the Butler Library mob, the university is handing down severe discipline to more than 70 perpetrators. Yet another unequivocally good decision by Columbia.

Thank you to @MayMailman, the White House, and @Columbia’s trustees for seeing this through! We hope that this, along with a comprehensive deal, will lead to a much safer and more stable campus going forward.
NEW: @Columbia’s trustees have clarified that the UJB (disciplinary process) and Rules are no longer under the purview of the Senate and were moved to the Office of the Provost. A huge step for structural reform at Columbia.
