Save The Magic's mission is to return the Walt Disney Company back to the quality for which it used to be famous while Walt Disney was alive.
The mere fact that so many people (myself included) think they missed the mark with this tells you it doesn’t look like him. If it was a good likeness it would be self evident without so much pushback. My first reaction was who is this supposed to be? I didn’t immediately think…
This is a side-by-side of the Walt Disney audio-animatronic (my photo) and the 1963 CBC interview footage the figure was based on. It's in the little 2 second glimpses here and there where it is 100% Walt in my opinion. #WaltDisney
The signs at the TTC look terrible. The word “Trams” is pushed in and the vinyl is sun faded and peeling on the logo. Not a good look at all.

Agreed we would be more optimistic. In order to present the future the company needs to have vision, and the current leadership lacks this. Pushing IP slop randomly is not vision - but they think it is.
Tomorrowland Circa 1967 Perhaps we would be a little more optimistic if all Disney lands still allowed you to enter the world of Tomorrow instead of just Yesterday and Fantasy.
There is mark out rebar in the haunted mansion queue. Not sure if they are marking out something to do with the construction for the river or its landscape mark out. But it’s in an interesting area. Very visible.

Except sadly Epcot isn’t focused on the future anymore. It’s about “Celebration, Discovery, Nature”- (IE. We want you buying as many drinks and food as you can, don’t worry about tomorrow.) Epcot serves as a lesson on what the current Disney company has become. You can’t be…
My takeaway here is that "the future" becomes compelling when it becomes an "experiential ecosystem." "Tomorrowland 67" gave us a hint of that, but here, the negative of charging becomes a fun, seamless, (robot servers are coming) "shared future" experience for those who are…
STOP DESTROYING WDW HISTORY. There is no reason to get rid of the arch—it makes perfect sense as an entrance to the redesigned area.
I pray the @TWDCArchives will not only "Red Tag" these magnificent bas-reliefs, but also find a new home for them somewhere at the Studios so guests can continue enjoying them.
Agree. It’s just another in a long line of poor decisions that have been made at Hollywood studios. Just a few different choices and we’d have a vastly different and better park.
This project is funny 'cause Disney could have built Mickey & Minnie's Runaway in this new area, and it would have been a better fit. This park could have kept The Great Movie Ride and updated it...

Great. More construction and closed areas. They should never have shut down the magic of Disney animation in the first place. It left them with this odd area and it wants to be (and was always) about animation. The easiest thing to do is transform it back, and hey they get to…

Since when does WDW have a hard time selling annual passes? You don’t have incentives unless you need them. Maybe they should remove the park reservation limits on it to make it more appealing instead of a gift card. They hate APs until they need them to fill the parks.
Keep denying the Epic Universe effect allllll you want. I’ll just be over here. 🤗
It’s a water ride, and it has a lot of costly to maintain animatronics. While I haven’t heard this particular rumor I put nothing past these folks running things. As I’ve said before, nothing is unthinkable to this group. It’s possible, but improbable.
I really don’t think Disney could be stupid enough to get rid of Pirates of the Caribbean. Do you think they would?
Not a fan of these. The reason is I once saw someone get sprayed with rotted milkshake liquid from inside, when they opened one of these, as it was somehow under pressure. Not sure if it was a malfunction when it did it but I never use these since seeing that. It was nasty.
The Bigbelly cans I saw in EPCOT’s Germany earlier this year have made it to Disneyland Paris! Except in Paris they painted them nicely with the normal Main St. Sanitation Dept. logo on the side and don’t show the Bigbelly logo. I also see these in other EPCOT locations lately.
They need to just bring Tony back ASAP. Let him run imagineering, and let imagineering control the creative decisions again. It really is that simple. Let someone who understands Disney, handle creative.
Legend Disney need to find the new Tony Baxters… fast
Hmm that’s interesting Jeff seems to really be yucking it up and having a great time. I wonder if he was laughing like that when he decided to bulldoze ROA.. no idea but I rather suspect so..
Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle shared photos from this morning’s rehearsal of Disney Starlight! 👀 “Countless teams have been part of bringing this to life through their passion, creativity, and dedication, and it was great to see them in action.”
I’ve heard from quite a few people who’ve viewed the show and it tracks with what @boss_angeles mentioned below pretty closely. Some of this can be fixed - not sure about how easy the mask fix will be.
Saw the show twice, sat closer and farther. Overall it's very good. Exhibits nice, film great, I enjoyed it in total. The face needs to be fixed, audio a bit processed, animation well done, but more than anything, I thought his speech content (considering all the great things…
This whole project just continues to go from bad to worse. It’s a shame really.

If Josh ends up becoming CEO, I do think that would be a bad thing. He strikes me as a politician in what he says. Quotes like below. Acknowledge that Splash was popular (of course it was) while making the destruction of it seem like the most logical thing in the world.
Josh D'Amaro on TIANA'S BAYOU ADVENTURE. “We knew that our guests wanted to see more of Tiana. We knew that Splash Mountain was a popular attraction, and we thought that the merger of those two things coming together would create an unbelievable experience." (@Variety)
Wisdom from Famous Dave. Agree 100% Disney really messed up this time.
An Audio Animatronic character can have billions of dollars in advanced motion and control systems, but if it doesn't look 100% great on the outside, it's all a waste of money. Just like that.
I miss it too. This was before they decided to destroy its theme. Sad.
I miss this park 😞💔
If Blaine Gibson (best Disney sculptor, who knew Walt, and was an absolute master) wouldn't have attempted this, it's absolute lunacy that they even tried. This is the same bunch who will soon have their hands on the Magic Kingdom. I have zero faith in the abilities. Zero....
Master sculptor Blaine Gibson called all this 30 years ago: "Lincoln is believable because we have no...films of his speech & mannerisms...Walt was a man whose movements meant something, & his expressions were so lively & enthusiastic. You can't get that with an animatronic..."
