The fight for the survival of the famous #Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon. We need the whole centre (and leisure land) back in full, with a hall. #OasisLive25
Yep, the trinity of strinkovsky, robbins and small are a collective act of self harm against this town with their arrogance, piousness and general contempt for anyone not offering to pay for everything whilst asset stripping public facilities.
Unsurprised to see kevin "no hall" small using public services to score cheap points once again. No progress will ever be made until he and Robbins take their heads out of the sand and work to deliver what the people need rather than work to increase developers profits.

Great to see all the celebrities out watching oasis at Wembley. Donβt remember them down the front when Beady Eye played Swindon Oasis in 2011 though?
And a main player in the planning decisions which saw the beginning of the end of #swindonspeedway. So many of @SwindonCouncil are private landlords or have housing company interests - no wonder they are so wrong-headed (to quote @jimrobbins) with their decision making at times
I haven't seen a shred of evidence that this Council is capable of that, sadly.
Didn't the council agree back in late 2020/early 2021 to work together? Fast forward to 2025 and we are back to square one!

tbh, hasnβt it alway been like that? They all need to wake up and realise they have lost the trust of most in Swindon as they allow the Town to be destroyed
Have you seen last night's Full Council meeting where a working group for Oasis was discussed If you ever wanted to know why Swindon has problems just listen to @sn2sam and @strinkovsky esponse and childish snide remarks about cross-party working They can't help themselves!!

Itβs baffling to read that & remember that none of the 10 councillors voted in favour of Jim & 7Cs scheme despite the labour majority on the planning committee Then read Jimβs response that all those reasons would be overturned on appeal. What does he see that we donβt?
So disheartening to see. No combined cross-party focus on finding the best solutions for #Swindon. Just petty point scoring and finger pointing on both sides. As a town, it' hard to see how this bunch of Cllrs (of both codes) take us forward when they are so inward facing.

There is NO way any new application can be any where near the scale of this one, maybe a few houses etc...
Just had an email notification, @SwindonCouncil have now uploaded the detailed refusal note of why the flats at Oasis were refused. Interesting reading.
