How epigenetic landscapes are regulated to mediate cell fate decisions? The answer is not only important, it is technically challenging to tease out. Here's a cool manuscript from @SanjeevSaGa lab, showing how Satb1 does it for T cells.
Stoked to announce our new preprint describing mechanism of SATB1-dependent chromatin interactions & its interplay with architectural proteins CTCF and cohesin complex during T cell development. We identify SATB1 as a new looping partner for Cohesin other than CTCF. #3DGenome
As we celebrate International Women's Day, I thank @KarinaYaniv for providing amazing mentorship & for being an influential figure in my scientific journey. Now as a PI, I have a wonderful group of women scientists shaping the direction of our research #HappyWomensDay #IWD25

Don’t miss this! 🔬 Prof. @SudiptaMaiti13 will be diving into the latest in optical microscopy at the upcoming #IBIWebinarSeries talk: 🧠 "Light Microscopy: The Newest Kids on the Block" 🗓️ July 25, 2025 | 🕒 3–4 PM IST Perfect for anyone curious about cutting-edge imaging!
If anyone is interesting in learning about what's new in optical microscopy, I will be giving an India Bioimaging webinar this Friday the 25th of July at 3PM (link in the next post))
Attending such meetings is a delightful learning experience. MIF is a distinctive platform that fosters dialog on emerging ideas & potential challenges across various areas of immunology & related fields. Here, discussions are often longer than actual presentation @ShivNadarUniv
Molecular Immunology Forum 2025 at Shiv Nadar University 🌟 Held July 10–12, and hosted by the Dep of Life Sciences, this national forum brought top immunologists together for high-impact discussions, collaboration & peer review. #MIF2025 #Immunology #ScienceInIndia @Bajaj_RCB
Congratulations to our fantastic Gal on receiving the @vascularbiology travel award at the recent Lymphatic Forum! We are very proud of you!! @yaniv_lab @WeizmannScience
It's a great joy to see my former 'bay-mate' at NCBS and a enthusiast companion for a number of football matches in Bangalore is now a PI at @TIFRH_buzz. Congratulations Aniruddha 🎉🎉🎉 Please do visit us sometime at @ShivNadarUniv @anipan84
We are delighted to welcome Aniruddha Panda (@anipan84), who joins @TIFRH_buzz as the newest faculty member. With native mass spectrometry, lipidomics, proteomics & metabolomics, he is exploring how cellular biochemistry governs signalling & how its disruption leads to disease.

#FluorescenceFriday Stunning live imaging of lymphatic & blood vessels in a zebrafish larva "Whole Trunk" from Dr. Rudra Nayan Das's Vascular Diversity Lab (SNIoE Delhi-NCR), captured by Rajan Singh & Rudra Nayan Das at SNIoE's CIF using a Nikon A1R MP Confocal (DST-FIST Funded).
I look so bored, but trust me it was the opposite! We only have last couple of sessions left, and so great to see diverse vascular biology research occurring across India. The community exists, we just need to keep coming together more often.
We start the symposium with a session on "vascular cell identity & plasticity." Dr @Rudra_nayan (also co-organiser) from @ShivNadarUniv Delhi-NCR, talks about studying lymphatic identity in zebrafish fin, focusing on organ specialisation. #VBS2025 (3/n)
#VBS2025 has started!
#HappeningNow! The 1st Vascular Biology Symposium kickstarts today! Follow this thread for live updates of the exciting lineup of talks from vascular biologists across India! @Soumya3693 @Rudra_nayan @ANRFIndia #VBS2025 (1/n)
Delighted to announce that we are finally having the Indian Vascular Biology Symposium on 17-18 April, with an aim of bring together the Indian Vascular Biology community. I especially thank @Soumya3693 for taking the initiative and hosting the event at @NCBS_Bangalore #VBS2025

I looked under the microscope and it was incredible! I had never imagined that there would be an enrichment. And so in a way you need both you need the hypotheses [..] But then you need to have the open mind to pick up the unexpected observations and follow them up. - Edith Heard
How does science work? Hypothesis-testing is only half the process & science also owes its progress to serendipity driven by data exploration. In the new Night Science Podcast episode we ask bold scientists about explorations. Check out some quotes below⬇️ open.spotify.com/episode/0JvElp…
I am thrilled to share this viewpoint essay about my first year as a #cancerresearch PI. Our lab just turned one & this was the perfect opportunity to reminisce on the journey thus far. It has only begun, excited for it all. Grateful to @NatureCancer for inviting me to share this
