It’s appalling that hundreds of sick children have been removed from their families who are accused of fabricating their illness. 100s. Instead of helping them. Unbelievable. You’d have to really think about whether to see a doctor at all #LongCovid #ME
#MEkids & #LongCovidKids need medical care & treatment, not removal from their families. “New research shows that FII has been substantiated only in four serious case reviews since 2010.. Yet a snapshot survey.. 2023 found that almost 400 families reported having been accused..”

Worth masking on flights - I measure co2 with a little #AirSpotter - often v high in crowded gate lounges and on tarmac (2-3K), drops in flight (although low partial pressure so ppm with bs lower) but old planes still 1500K. 787s are the best. #CovidTravelTips

Early days but looks like HPA hormone axis may be deregulated in people with ME #pwME - particularly cortisone - progesterone
OMF's research centers in Uppsala and Melbourne published a study of steroid hormones. The study identified changes in steroid-steroid relationships that indicate there is a dysfunction in HPA axis function and progestogen pathways. 👉 ow.ly/Hh1z50WvrLb

The BMJ @bmj_latest has not published a rapid resopnse from Maeve Boothby O'Neill's mum, Sarah, to its ME/CFS "hope" propaganda piece from members of the biopsychosocial ideological brigades. So I have posted it here: virology.ws/2025/07/23/tri…

Everyone who has EVER had Covid should be carefully monitoring their vitals & listening to their bodies. Do not exercise or attempt strenuous activity for at least 6-8 weeks after Covid. Don’t “push through” or ignore symptoms. This virus is VASCULAR. It could save your life.
So, in the past month, two people I know have had fatal cardiac events. One was 36, one was 37, no previous history of heart problems. Events like this were relatively unheard of, compared to now. Is this what "living with Covid" means?
Brilliant brilliant piece on post-viral illness. "Time and again, society has failed to reckon with these conditions, relegating their sufferers to the fringes of medical understanding and societal concern." Link 👇

German Health Minister: “We should invest 1 billion in #MECFS research. The disease costs us 30 billion per year. Young people are taking their own lives, so great is their suffering. Now Trump has cut research funding.. Without significantly more research, there is no hope.”
