Shorten summer to 3 or 4 weeks. Put the rest of the days through the year onto half terms etc. 3 ‘personnel days’ that teachers can book like regular holiday during term time
First two weeks I’m usually ill and/or depression/anxiety kicks in. Remains weeks see anxiety build to crescendo in mid-late August. I think lost of us are like this and it’s getting worse every year - September is a horrible time.
It’s weird isn’t it! I have felt on a rollercoaster of emotion - been happy and excited over my upcoming wedding - but can also feel exhausted, drained and over emotional. Sat here right now feeling like I want to cry - and your post has kind of made me realise why!
