Joined our friends at @OutOnPatrol this afternoon in Davie Village to celebrate Pride Week in Vancouver. I really value and believe in this organization that supports 2SLGBTQ+ members of law enforcement and represents the community, while keeping our city safe.

Today we kicked off Pride Week in Vancouver by raising the Progress Pride flag and the Trans flag at City Hall. I am proud to represent a city as inclusive, diverse and welcoming as our beautiful Vancouver.

This will be a great change. This intersection on the Arbutus Greenway is a bit awkward for cyclists on the Greenway, as well as pedestrians.
The intersection of West 41st Avenue, Arbutus Greenway, and East and West boulevards in Kerrisdale is set to see a major redesign next year. Improving the RapidBus service and the walking and cycling pathways of the Arbutus Greenway. #vanre #vanpoli dailyhive.com/vancouver/arbu…

We’re back #Vancouver! 😎👀 Let’s do it! #celebrationoflight
Good news for bars, restaurants & nightclubs! 🍻 Extended liquor hours give small businesses the flexibility they’ve been asking for. 🗣️ Glad to have shared CFIB member feedback with Mayor & Council yesterday. #vanpoli
Yesterday, Vancouver City Council voted to extend allowable liquor service hours across the City (4 AM downtown, 3 AM outside downtown on weekends, 2 AM on weekdays). Extending hours is a common sense move that will give restaurants and nightlife establishments greater…
Glad this was approved by council today. While it will be hard to stem online sales, or people bringing them into Vancouver, this is a start and will help prevent extremely dangerous interactions between police who must take necessary precautions & the public. #vanpoli
Today, City Council approved a ban on the sale of gun-shaped lighters, making Vancouver the 1st city in Canada to do so. Facts: ➡️162 incidents in 2024 alone prompted action. ➡️$1,000 fine for businesses selling them. 🔗 Learn more: bit.ly/3GFOLeJ #PublicSafety
The Celebration of Light draws large crowds to the West End every year, which can make leaving the area after the show challenging for both spectators and police, as Davie and Denman become heavily congested. Our priority is your safety. Barriers will be in place to help manage…
We are working hard to make our city more vibrant and dynamic and support the hospitality sector and small businesses who contribute greatly to making our city a great place to live and visit. #vanpoli
4 am closing hours for bars is a huge win. This has to be one of the better City Councils we’ve had in a long time. They’ve pushed a lot stuff though and actually care about the hospitality sector. Next stop 5am to align with Skytrain service. This is perfect for when the the…
As one of two council liaisons to the 2SLGBTQIA+ advisory committee at the City, it was an honour to recognize Chris Morrissey's legacy of fighting for equality & inclusion; + her incredible efforts at founding @rainbowrefugee which has helped so many begin a new life in Canada.
Proud to stand with our 2SLGBTQ+ Advisory Committee and other community members as Mayor Ken Sim and Councillors read a proclamation honouring Chris Morrissey. Chris was a force for change, advancing 2SLGBTQ+ rights and well-being across the country. Her legacy is immeasurable.

Last night, the Park Board chose delay over action, and Vancouver residents are the ones paying the price. Despite overwhelming public feedback calling for the immediate removal of the outdated Kits Pool advance booking system, the motion to scrap it was delayed until Sep. 15th,…

After another summer of long lines, empty lanes and missed swims, ABC Vancouver is taking action to eliminate advance booking at Kitsilano Outdoor Pool.
I couldn’t agree more @jodyvance! I think we need to move back to a more flexible model of accessing our outdoor pools to support families and swimming enthusiasts alike. #vanpoli
