I was there. $2500 for many who immediately made their way to the sidewalk is out of control. I’ve never seen an escalation like that, so fast and so unnecessary. A cop pointed a gun at me while I was on the sidewalk and they screamed curses at us while chasing us back to Ohio.

There can be no other response than this. If we erode the press' freedom to cover newsworthy events, we erode our democracy.
