In a week’s time Heathrow Airport will publish its plans for a 3rd runway. It has recently confirmed that 5530 homes will be rendered unliveable, meaning about 16.000 of my constituents losing their homes. Most, except the Chancellor, know it’s a white elephant, aviation’s HS2.
A pleasure to meet @metecoban92 Deputy Mayor of London for Environment and Energy to discuss the campaign opposing Heathrow expansion with my @NoR3Coalition colleague @robbarnstone

BREAKING: Climate Change Committee warns "aviation now contributes a greater share of total UK emissions than the entire electricity supply sector. Continued emissions growth in this sector could put future targets at risk." Sign & share! ↓↓↓ petition.parliament.uk/petitions/7149…
NEW | Just 3% of population cause quarter of aviation emissions. Our new report with @NEF calls for tax reform so ultra-frequent flyers taking six or more flights a year pay for their pollution. Read more 👉 bit.ly/4kzsEoI

Great to be at @Parkex_BPA today! Thanks to our engagement with @BritishParking the parking sector is now taking forward the National Parking Platform — meaning simpler, easier parking at no further cost to taxpayers. Together, we’re putting choice in the hands of drivers.🅿️
3rd runway at Heathrow is proving to be another policy decision disaster by the Chancellor. Government’s own figures reveal the huge climate impact, undermining the government’s claims & its green credentials. Source: POLITICO Shared via the Google app search.app/3hwzHk2JapGMKe…
UK CO2 emission reductions off track? When Jet Zero was launched in 2022, Ministers said it would “prevent them [emissions] from increasing above pre-pandemic levels in future – with 2019 set to be remembered as the peak year for aviation emissions” travelweekly.co.uk/news/co2-emiss…
Is this how you feel when you park and you have to download another app? You’re not alone. Many of us would prefer to use our preferred app when we park instead of having to download a new app every time we park in a new local authority area.
The UK’s Seventh Carbon Budget level should be set at 535 MtCO2e, an 87% reduction against 1990 levels. This country has a prosperous and secure future ahead. The fossil fuel age is over – it’s time to electrify the United Kingdom. theccc.org.uk/2025/02/26/end…
