Its true. Check the TO&E. Public Safety+Dense urban housing= broad based prosperity.
My centrist policy: "We going to build a sh#t ton of housing, and crack skulls like Ghengis Kahn. We will have the safest cities and cheapest housing the world has ever seen ."
I'm sorry but "incentivize landlords to delay rent increases for select tenants who meet narrow income thresholds" and "build a limited supply of affordable housing over the next 7-10 years" is just tripping me up. There's just 0 ambition in the center left and people can tell
Part of the job as a cybersecurity professional is in fact arguing to purge and not log information about your customers. Data is not oil. It's risk.
Some real butterfly flaps it's wing in Thailand energy here
A hidden fire‑safety rule is quietly adding $1+ million to the price of many new apartment buildings. Crazy part? The gear it mandates has been used exactly once in a real US fire. Let’s unpack this 👇
Uh what?
Ice Cube isn't part of the Cincinnati Music Festival lineup, but he gave a pop-up performance at Fountain Square on July 25. cincinnati.com/story/entertai…
I would pay$30k for a robot that folded laundry over night while I slept.
If we’re building humanoid robots, let’s at least train them to: - rethread hoodie drawstrings that get swallowed in the wash - fold fitted sheets - get the trash bag to stay around the rim of the can - center and level wall frames/art - hold a flashlight at the right angle
Average Hyde Park Neighborhood Council Member.
“They tore down a 80-year old house and built 3 new ones and the new houses aren’t affordable.” Ma’am, have you ever tried to trade in your 15 year old Camry and ask for a new one for the same price?
Next step is for the state to repeal the stupid claw back provisions for speed and traffic cameras.

Good. Bring on the security panopticon.

Weed is in its "Gin Frenzy" stage. "Drunk for a penny, Dead drunk for twopence, Clean straw for nothing." Max potency, openly designed for zombie level hyper abuse.
He may have been smoking on shit that looks like chewed up carpet but it's still better than this new 34% THC shit that makes you brain dead and Schizophrenic after 3 puffs
WHERE IS THE SUBSTANTIVE POLICY? What are the policies that charter in the past was great in articulating? Nothing. Cincinnati is at a key fork in the road as a city. To grow or not to grow. To progress or stagnate. Hard decisions. Cincy needs bold vision- not reactionary chaos.
Cincinnati has issues it needs to solve and questions for its future it must answer. Stasis does not work. Fighting any change and shifts in the city does not work. Reactionary vibes and separating the city into 52 fiefdoms does not work.
Seeing the Charterites and Charter Committee turn into the modern version of COAST is an absolute disgrace to Cincinnati. An organization with history, true character, a hand in the modern Cincinnati we see, no more. No policy proposals. Just a full slate of reactionary vibes.
Is this Hyde Park?
Wait until you find out how people with these signs in their lawn react to a proposed apartment in their neighborhood.
Oh look, the "sh#thole" cities are growing, and "real America" is unaliving itself.

We bulldozed 1/3 of the city for highways. A single lane for a few blocks seems reasonable. I guess what, if it's really a terrible mess, you can just undo it, for basically free. Folks treating this like it's the Bengals stadium.
Option 1: Build a transit-only lane on Walnut now to speed up hundreds of thousands of monthly transit riders. Option 2: Wait four years to build this transit lane; costs will rise. Option 3: Never build it, which throws BRT into jeopardy bizjournals.com/cincinnati/new…
Dramatically overused. In most cases you should be limited to structures not districts. Its main de facto purpose is as a tool of NIMBYism. Need an alternate approach to defangs the historic preservation commission type commisariates.
What do you think of historic protection in general? Or Savannah, GA in particular?
America continuing to subsidize wealthy Boomers as its defense base rots, fertility and family formation plummet, and the national debt skyrockets is truly civilization-ending stuff. We need means testing, benefit cuts, and retirement age hikes yesterday.
A social safety net that transfers resources from working-age people to non-workers makes sense, but within the category of non-workers we are massively overweight on "old people" relative to "kids and their caretakers."
😂😂
Part of my parenting problem is that I got soft w years of luxurious pre-child adult life. I’m a temporarily-embarrassed “Cool Guy with a Nice Life”. Surely it must be some mistake that my housemates keep shitting their pants and screaming at me!?!
Under current rules this is irresovlable, and will create instability. There is no thoroughly defendable "correct" apportionment. Dramatically expand the house, or make Reps "at large" state wide. Both require a change to the constitution.
Blatant disenfranchisement through insanely aggressive gerrymandering in red states and the inevitable mirror response from blue states is a larger Constitutional crisis than anything else and if permitted by the SC and inflamed by the WH will 100% break our country.
