"We look at things from an economic perspective - what are the incentives in the programs? And we think there's enormous incentives created by government programs that lead to lots of waste and inefficiencies" Paragon's @brian_blase sums up our vision in a recent @NPR story.
"On the issue of Medicaid enrollment in multiple states, as Paragon Health Institute explains, the GOP bill asks states to 'use reliable, existing data sources—including address updates from managed care organizations—to track where beneficiaries live.'" @WSJopinion

it really does a disservice to readers not to explain that the additional tax credits passed in 2021 and extended in 2022 were designed to address the covid pandemic and democrats were the ones that scheduled them to expire at the end of 2025 because the pandemic would be over.
Republicans are ready to revive stalled health care legislation. Dems want the GOP to pay a price. ow.ly/beqa106gq7A
Important piece from my colleague @Gjkalisz. The massive ACA exchange fraud did not just harm taxpayers. People got enrolled into plans or had plans switched without their consent. Some lost coverage for providers and medications. Others accumulated large tax liabilities.

"Out-of-pocket" is the key here. The question is what is the optimal share of the premium paid by taxpayers versus the enrollee. I think Obama got this right. And Biden got this wrong. Far too much of the premium under Biden was paid by taxpayers, which enabled massive fraud.
Out-of-pocket premiums would increase by an average of 133% in West Virginia if the enhanced ACA premium tax credits expire at the end of this year. kff.org/affordable-car…
