Very sad to learn of the passing of the brilliant and biting Tom Lehrer at 97. Even though he stopping writing and performing satirical songs a half century or more ago, I derived great joy knowing that he still walked among us. His work will forever remain the gold standard.
I think when you lose your two opening batsman for next to nothing. One of your batsmen can’t bat. Then lose your two main batsmen by lunch and are still over 150 behind. There is also a history of batting collapses. This is a remarkable performance. @PaddyBriggs

Very disappointing documentary from the @BBC . Some of the highlights of the series skimmed over. Particularly the Trent Bridge Test which was hardly covered, and yet was crucial. Even Gary Pratt’s run out of Ponting only got about 30 seconds.
